Simultaneously manage multiple Capital projects ranging from $3MM to $12MM from concept to start up. Work with functional Leaders to ensure that safety, maintainability, reliability and operational effectiveness are designed in. Develop project scope and oversee the development of procurement contracts. Direct the activities of contracted Engineering, EPC, and Fabrication firms. Function as a coach and mentor for corporate engineering staff and a resource corporately.
Facilities Manager (Maintenance & Engineering), Kimberly-Clark, Chester PA 2010- 2013
Managed a staff of 16 direct reports and a staff of 30+ contracted resources comprised of subject matter expert consultants, maintenance craftsmen, Construction personnel and Engineers. Accountable for the annual infrastructure budget and the development of the five year buildings and grounds department spending forecast and project prioritization (CAPEX and Expense). Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of all Infrastructure and support equipment (structures, roadways, railroads, HVAC, docks, fire protection systems, steam systems, etc.) as well as storm preparation and mitigation for 84 acre under roof site. Managed multiple projects of diverse complexity and business sensitivity ranging in cost from $100K to $5M my responsibilities included full accountability for the project financials, developing milestones, schedules and delivering business objectives (on time within budget). Typical duties included MOC process, preparing AFE’s, PMETs documentation, and SAP transactions. I also managed the Aboveground Storage Tank regulation compliance 5 year program.

Project Manager/Engineer, ERGON WV INC (oil refinery), Newel, WV 2000- 2002
I managed multiple projects ranging in scope from equipment retrofits to new installations, developed detailed work scope documentation, milestone schedules, and economic justification. I led several unit turnarounds. One example is I successfully delivered a .75 $MM Boiler Distributive Control System installation Project, resulting in”0” safety incidents, on time start up and within budget.
Consulting Senior Manufacturing Engineer, MEDRAD, Pittsburgh, PA 1999 (six month assignment)
Duties included Process defect elimination and Capital Project support for a high speed packaging line. I led a cross-functional team dedicated to determent the root cause of a production machinery induced packaging defect that threatened to reduce the Asian market share. The Results of the team's efforts was a rapid and cost effective solution and maintenance procedures to eliminate the defect.

I was responsible for providing Technical leadership and day-to-day engineering support for Dacron polyester manufacturing, staple packaging equipment and served as Plant ISO-9000 critical equipment components liaison. I led a multi-function work team comprised of Lab Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, Equipment Operators, Engineers and Production Managers to successfully eliminate a major process equipment generated defect resulting in $.5MM annual savings utilizing root cause analysis techniques.
Mechanical Engineer, DuPont, DACRON®, Wilmington, NC 1994-1998
Simultaneously managed several “Conception to Start-Up” projects and provided day-to-day Mechanical Engineering support for the sites heat exchangers, fired vessels, pressure vessels and piping. I developed scope of work packages and economic justification for equipment repair and new equipment installations utilizing ASME and API codes and standards. I served as Project Manager of a 30-member cross-functional Project team during construction and start-up phase for a “Greenfield” $2.5MM “DMT Melter” installation project. As a result the Project started-up on schedule and within budget without any safety incidents despite a very aggressive 6-month, design-build work schedule. The Project team was nominated for the DuPont Corporate “Engineering Excellence Award”.

Implemented state of the art advanced process control strategies and DCS tuning algorithms resulting in cost savings generated from reduced ramp-up time during production run changes.
