AIRCRAFT EXPERTISE

RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

1984 – 1987 U. S. Navy Naval Air Field Atsugi, Japan

Fighter Squadron 161, USS Midway

Assigned to workcenter 310, Plane Captain Trainee/Plane Captain. Responsible for performing daily, turnaround and special inspections and launcher recovery of assigned squadron aircraft.

Attaining a 99% sortie completion rate while amassing over 1500 flight hours during an arduous Indian Ocean deployment. Collateral duties included primary corrosion control petty officer and alternate emergency reclamation team member. Also assigned to corrosion control branch of aircraft division performing organizational corrosion treatment and repair on twelve F-4S squadron aircraft.

Contributed in squadron’s participation in Cape Thunder ’86 in which the squadron flew 105.4 tactical flight hours in ten days with seven aircraft in eighty-seven sorties.

Contribute for the squadron selection as winner of the Arleigh Burke fleet trophy for 1985.

Refined general mechanics and airframe skills while working on a team disassembling, assembling, repairing and troubleshooting Kaman NSH-2 Seasprite. Performed extensive fiberglass and rotor blade repairs.

Performed rotary vibration analysis on SH-2 and nitrogen servicing of air oil struts.

2012-2014- L3 PID on the Navy Program on P-3C,EP-3, also the C-12 Huron program(Army), leading edge wing repair, Cold work repairs, and Component repair shop (CRS) i.e. plan, layout, construct, install item such as deflectors pans, wing and flap patches, items with straight and regular curves removal and installation of wing spars. Used of computer terminals to reference technical manuals, drawings, order supplies and tools. Used measuring instruments such as measuring scales, protractors, calipers, depth gages, and screw pitch gage, hole gages. Work with various metals including stainless steel, titanium.

2014-PRESENT- VT SAA Heavy Structures,i.e. B757, BBJ’s, B737,MD11, performing Aircraft Services Bulletins i.e. seat track modifications, bulkhead skin repair, airframe spar repair, layout, cut, form, assemble, and install items and systems with combine straight and curved edges or irregular curves and planes. Assisted other mechanics with their layouts and construction duties. .
