1. “Pakistan Mercantile Exchange.” (2008 to date)

Currently working at, Pakistan Mercantile Exchange, as “Assistant Manager. Market Operations”. PMEX is a renowned Capital Market Institution deals in Spot and Future Contracts of Gold, Rice (IRRI-6), Crude Oil, Palm Oil, Sugar, Wheat and KIBOR. This is the only Commodity Exchange of Pakistan which results in its strategic importance in controlling currently enrolled commodities prices and providing a “Controlled Risk” platform for exchange of commodities.

Key Responsibilities

Management and execution of all Start of Day & End of Day procedures on all trading systems i.e. Clearing & Settlement Reporting.

Part of the decision making team responsible for all system enhancement and issue resolution.

Provide Cross Training to Exchange staff on Trading/Back Office Systems etc.

Checking and downloading of initial margin and clearing deposit made by members through MCB Virtual interface. Upload initial margin and clearing deposit to Clearing Settlement & Reporting.

Preparation/execution of all contracts.

Maintenance of Pay-ins and Pay-outs of final settlement and delivery process.

Daily monitoring risk management such as Trader’s Margin Call, CDC and Bank Checks.

Liaise with Finance for correct update and reconciliation of books and records

2.“Toyota” Indus Motor Company Ltd. (1999 to 2008)

Worked as Senior Executive in M/s Indus Motor Company Ltd. a Japanese based multinational company engaged in progressive manufacturing and assembling of Toyota & Daihatsu range of vehicles in Pakistan, worked in the middle management cadre as “Senior Executive -Procurement” – in Logistics Division, Working on SAP 20 / R3 ERPEnvironment.

Key Responsibilities

To monitor/arrange in time clearance & delivery at Factory of all in bound material.

To monitor / arrange in time clearance of all out bound material.

To execute / maintain Purchase Orders, Service Orders, Goods Receipts and invoice parking of materials in SAP System.

To monitor with Vendors, bank (Local/Foreign) for L/C, Shipping Guarantee and other documentation.

To monitor / maintain inventory / receipts of imported vehicles in SAP System.

Worked as Procurement Executive in W. Woodward Pakistan (Pvt) ltd, a London Based Multinational Pharmaceutical Company engaged in the manufacturing of Children Medicines, dealing with PROCUREMENT & General Administration for over 5 years.

To exercise a due care and shall negotiate with suppliers and administrate system and procedures for obtaining quotation and placing orders to ensure that the purchasing functions operate economically while maintains correct quality, stock levels and delivery schedules exactly as per the Company’s policy and Worldwide Materials Management instruction as and when informed by the Materials Manager.
