OBJECTIVE

After receiving a diploma in June 2011 as a Medical Office Assistant, I am seeking employment utilizing the skills I have learned. I was trained using Medisoft in all aspects of patient data entry, scheduling, and health insurance forms. I use Microsoft Office Word 2007 at home and have been able to learn as a Pharmacy Tech. and Medical Transcriptionist, computer data entry. I worked in several different offices doing data entry work for temporary agencies in California and Oregon. I have 5 years of Medical Transcription experience. I have studied for two years, Medical Coding online with Allied Business Schools. My studies began in March, 2012 and I finished in April, 2014. I have taken medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM, CPT-4 and HCPCS level II. I have three years of experience as a Real Estate Agent. I was trusted as an employee of Century 21 to run the office while the owners were away on vacation. That included all aspects of Real Estate, phones, interacting with all customers, showing homes, selling homes, opening and closing the office. I worked over six months at Santiam Memorial Hospital in Stayton, OR as a Medical Transcriptionist and six months as a Pharmacy Technician in Yucca Valley, CA, waiting on customers, updating customers information on the pharmacy’s computer, helping the pharmacist fill prescriptions, delivering prescriptions, and stocking drugs. Presently, I am working part-time in my home office extracting names from Excel on the computer, calling and e-mailing prospects for a home business. My husband and I had a partnership business in Chehalis, Washington where I was the secretary/receptionist. Also, I worked for Oregon Mutual Insurance doing data entry work.

Five years as a Medical Transcriptionist

06/14/04 to 06/01/07. Dba, at home office, Scott-Lyon Transcription, LLC. As a Medical Transcriptionist for TM Transcription, Silverton, Oregon. I have done hospital, ER and clinic Medical Transcription using a C-phone, the internet and Hypersend to send transcriptions.

10/12/02 to 12/20/03. Working at home doing Medical Transcription work M-F for Carol Lanig, subcontracting. Dictations were on mini and macro cassettes, printing them out and saving them in files and on disks and delivering them to her business.

04/05/02 through 11/02/02, worked for over 6 months mostly on Saturdays after training for about 2 months doing Medical Transcription work at Santiam Memorial hospital in Stayton, Oregon from recordings from the doctors, typing discharge summaries, pre-op exams, emergency reports and operations.

Three years as a Real Estate Agent

1998-1999.One year at Smith & Jungwirth as a Real Estate Agent. I worked in the office opening up, made coffee, answering phones, computer work, ran ads, showed and sold homes.

1996-1998.Two years as a Real Estate Agent at Century 21, Stayton, Oregon. I took care of the office when the owners vacationed, greeted customers and showed and sold homes.
