Over 4 years of increasingly experience in electrical and instrumentation technology acquired at Sentinel mine and Kansanshi mine plc. Both subsidiary companies of First Quantum Minerals as well as Morganite Zambia limited were I did my industrial attachment when studying at the Copperbelt University.

Recruited as an instrument technician were I started working with the project in the construction of the process plant.

JUNE 2011 TO MARCH 2014 (INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN) KANSANSHI MINE

My first mining experience was acquired at Kansanshi mine plc were I worked as a technician in instrumentation.

Commissioning of Acid plant 5 where I worked on different magnetic flow meters, temperatures (RTD) and thermal couples.

Part of the team who designed and installed marshaling control box for the Descaling water treatment at acid plant 5.

Worked on regrind mill project as an assistant technician in the Gold plant.

Commissioning, calibration and maintenance of all instruments in the Gold plant and acid plant 5 where I was assigned to be working.

Part of the team to re-design and install the backwash system at acid plant to incorporate the bucket solenoids after the existing system failed to work.

Part of the team to install and configure fire alarm system in all sub stations at Kansanshi mine.

Installed temperature monitoring devices in sub stations at HPL, Oxygen, Gold plant and Acid plant 5.

Overseen, maintaining, installing and repairing different instruments at High Pressure Leach plant (HPL).

Installation and configuring Danfoss variable speed drives. (VSD).

I joined the project team and helped to build Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) panels with Siemens S7 plc cards.

Worked on the installation of the ring network of fiber optic to improve the communication system of the plant.

Installation and maintenance of avigiron CCTV cameras at acid plant 5 and high pressure leach plant.

In September, 2013 the re-grind mill 2 projects was instituted and i was among the technicians assigned to work in the gold plant.

Installation and setup of endress+hauser instruments.

Installation of trip up sirens on the knelson concentrators on regrind mill 2.

Morganite Zambia limited is a company situated in Ndola and deals in electrical equipments such as Schneider electric and manufactures electrical feeder pillars and distribution boards for medium voltage supply.

While at Morganite I worked as an artisan and wired electrical panels and bus bars.
