Serve as contact for Teradata performance using Viewpoint, DBQL and Teradata utilities. Developed physical data models and consults in development of conceptual data models. Designed, developed, implement, modified, backup/recovery and maintain physical relational databases using Linux and MVS OS/390 (Mainframe). Update the DBS using Lunix and maintain backups using Net Vault/Tara. Instrumental in implementation of ITL methodology throughout the Boeing DBA organization. Investigate and resolved operational problems nature using Teradata, Data Labs, TASM, PDCR, CPPT, Studio, Viewpoint and SQL ASST. Assist application DBA’s when they cannot figure out how to correct an issue. Consult with applications that involve Informatica/Data Stage and Cognos queries and find a way to deploy that will reduce cost and be more efficient. Set up environments using Data Labs and recommend DBMSs and delivery platforms, participates in database product and tool evaluations, procurement, and testing. Developed tools and processes to support the database administration (DBA) function. Utilize ClearCase and ClearQuest for Change management. Run system hardness testing using Linux/MVS and SQL Asst. Utilized Teradata’s capacity planning tool using CPPT to project Space requirements for application and plan hardware expansions/replacement (11 systems). Current version TD14.10/15.00 Viewpoint 15 and 15.10. My focus is customer satisfaction and repeatable processes using ITL Methodology and Six Sigma.

Teradata Sr. DBA serves as the focal point for all day to day production issues and enhancements in the Data warehouse. Production system is a 10 node with a (2) 5 node Prod systems and 4 node Dev/Test systems (UT/IUT/IFT). My tasks include but are not limited to: Trouble shooting performance problems, Adjusting current TASM settings for Production, Establish Backup and recovery Jobs. Develop process and procedures that work both with Dev, Test and Production users/customers. This does create a successful data warehouse. Currently on V2R6.2 and moving to Version 13 Linux (SUSE). Currently work with all Teradata tools like TD Manger, PMON, TSET, UNIX, and Atanasoft and BAR. Reduce the space used through eliminating and consolidation of objects. We work as a team not as individuals for better communication and brainstorming sessions. My focus is customer satisfaction and repeatable processes using ITL Methodology and Six Sigma.

My responsibilities included provide schedules (CDS) for part deliveries, educate other planners in the use of CATIA, OLP, MRLS, ORIS, Rejection tags, and other M.E. functions. Leaned out manufacturing process and improved through put using AIW’s. Worked with the shop, tooling, and engineering to guarantee success of our process. Leading Edge Vendor support Hamble, England.
Manufacturing Engineering (777 program): 11/89 – 9/92
Worked with graphite composite structure, fiberglass and titanium parts for the main torque box skin panels on the 777 vertical /horizontal stabilizer program at Frederickson. Provided tooling with CATIA models to indicate areas of interference or concern. Worked as a Liaison Tool designer for the 777 Empennage program. Responsible for the Passenger Entry, Small Cargo, and Large Cargo doors. Lead a Design as Built team for the Cargo Doors. Representative for the SPC/HVC team. Worked together with Japanese vendors to accomplished primary objectives.
