CAPSTONE PROJECT
“Raising Awareness of Substance Abuse During Pregnancy and the Effects on the Mother and 2014
Developing Child”.
Aided in development of the public awareness campaign “Born Drug Free Tennessee”. Created patient and provider educational materials to increase awareness of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and other substance-induced birth defects. Presented at the 2014 TAPA Fall Fest convention. This project was recently awarded a grant for $100,000 and was launched publically in Knox County, Tennessee in March 2015.
