LMI Aerospace/Valent Aerostructures Kansas City, Missouri

Valent Aerostructures is a Tier 2 supplier of machined aerospace parts and major assemblies with 8 locations across Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Their largest customers include Boeing, GKN Aerospace, Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin, and Spirit Aerosystems; providing them $140M in revenue. They were acquired by LMI Aerospace is December of 2012. LMI Aerospace is a supplier of structural assemblies, kits and components, and a provider of design engineering services to the commercial, business and regional, and defense aerospace markets with annual revenues of $400M+.

Assembly Center of Excellence Controller December 2014-October 2015

* While maintaining responsibility for the accounting requirements with the Valent group of companies, added oversight of two additional LMI assembly facilities.

* Implemented and streamlined financial analysis and reporting systems including financial statement preparation, detailed cost of goods sold analysis, intercompany margin identification and elimination.

Alliant Techsystems Inc. Independence, Missouri

Alliant Techsystems (ATK) operates the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. This is a Government Owned-Corporate Operated plant that produces all the small caliber ammunition for the U.S. armed forces. Post 9-11 ATK was asked to ramp up production from 300 Million rounds per year to over 1.2 Billion rounds per year. To accomplish this task, they were funded with $300 Million is various contracts. The revenue from this facility is in the $1.0 Billion range.

* Responsible for all financial statement preparation and presentation.

* Retained responsibility for management of the ERP systems.

* Due to unavoidable Y2K issues with our previous ERP system, managed and performed the complete implementation of our Fourth Shift ERP system, allowing the continuation of efficient manufacturing operations.

* Managed the implementation of payroll/labor data collection system resulting in the elimination of manual keying errors and providing real time labor updates to the ERP system.

* Developed a data collection and reporting system to facilitate the annual physical inventory using bar coded tags to rapidly enter physical counts of inventory into a database, making possible real time analysis of the inventory counts and allowing rapid selection of areas for recount.

* Created numerous external reports focusing on various aspects of financial and manufacturing operations including cash planning, stock room operations, shop floor reporting, customer service, and purchasing.

* Integral member of financial tasks team, essentially a think tank to solve problems on a company wide basis. The team was responsible for reengineering and simplifying business processes.
