LMI Aerospace/Valent Aerostructures Kansas City, Missouri

Valent Aerostructures is a Tier 2 supplier of machined aerospace parts and major assemblies with 8 locations across Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Their largest customers include Boeing, GKN Aerospace, Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin, and Spirit Aerosystems; providing them $140M in revenue. They were acquired by LMI Aerospace is December of 2012. LMI Aerospace is a supplier of structural assemblies, kits and components, and a provider of design engineering services to the commercial, business and regional, and defense aerospace markets with annual revenues of $400M+.

Assembly Center of Excellence Controller December 2014-October 2015

* While maintaining responsibility for the accounting requirements with the Valent group of companies, added oversight of two additional LMI assembly facilities.

Alliant Techsystems (ATK) operates the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. This is a Government Owned-Corporate Operated plant that produces all the small caliber ammunition for the U.S. armed forces. Post 9-11 ATK was asked to ramp up production from 300 Million rounds per year to over 1.2 Billion rounds per year. To accomplish this task, they were funded with $300 Million is various contracts. The revenue from this facility is in the $1.0 Billion range.
