As the General Manager of Autosmith of Georgia, I received the challenge of revamping a dealer ship that was suffering from declining sales and poor collections. Due to mismanagement the location I was responsible for had declined to 9th in sales in a 11 dealership franchise. The President of the company charged me with a turn around and a deadline of 90 days with the threat of closing. I met that challenge by doubling the sales volume and moving the location to #4 of 11 in the chain within the first 30 days. Despite the fact that we did not have the premium location we consistently stayed at number 4 or 5, even obtaining 3rd place one month during my tenure. Along with increasing sales volume, I also brought collections current, reduced bad debt and restored cash flow to the location. I joined Bryans Auto Sales as the General Manager of one of 2 dealerships, I doubled sales the very first month, and stayed at that level during my stint with the company, however, after a few months the owner had some serious personal issues and resulting budget cuts made it difficult to operate the location. Eventually, the dealership was sold off and I moved to a more secure position with Autosmith of Georgia.

NORSAN GROUP GENERAL MANAGER ATLANTA, GA 2007-2008

Norsan Group D.B.A. Frontera Mex Mex Grill is a unit of a large group of restaurants and I managed the location on Jimmy Carters Blvd in downtown Atlanta. When I started the location was one of the poorest performers in the group, 8th or 9th in the group of 12 restaurants. After a difficult turn around, I was able to restore the location to 3rd in sales in about 6 months. By the end of the year we won the prize for the best restaurant of the year with the best income and the highest profits in the chain, beating the restaurant in third place by almost double. We had almost perfect standard of loss and food cost. Definitely a great job, with a great team and only a few times in my life have I been so satisfied with results like these. Along with my corporate reporting responsibilities, I was responsible for opening and closing, staffing, training, profit and loss, ordering and inspections.

Capitol City Nissan was my first job in U.S.A. after relocating from Peru. I had never sold cars before and in my 3rd month I was the number one 1 sales rep of the company and I always maintained in the top four. As founding C.E.O of Corporacion Aventura I grew this Casino from zero to the second largest gambling company in Peru in just a few years. We opened 35 small casinos in Peru in 6 years. I had a very aggressive expansion plan and it was successful. After the initial outlay for the first two casinos locations, the owners never had to reinvest any capital the whole operation was self-sustaining. As president, I was in charge of everything, in the beginning ( the first 3 casinos ) on a limited budget, I had to fill the roles of President, General Manager, Human Resources, Operations Manager, Chairman of the Board, etc. The first years intense and challenging and as we grew I had to design a whole new management team. We eventually grew from 30 employees to over 1,200 in less than 8 years with an additional 350 to 400 indirect staff that provided service such as techs for slot machines. The company was a great success and we were recognized several times as best company of the year in Peru.The sales and production increased every year and a little after 10 years the owners sold 75% of their shares to a foreign group for over 55 million dollars.
