Engineering Experience May 2013 - April 2015
Vital Sensors Technologies, Hudson, MA
Co-op – First Summer
Brought in to wire an internationally distributed prototype Package Analyzer designed to quickly and accurately measure a beverage for C02, Brix, Ethanol or Acid. Took over project design and testing due to an increase in companies other projects. Was asked back to work during school year part time and to return for a second summer of co-op to help further the Package Analyzer Project.
Wired solenoids and sensors to Festo boards that would allow the system to operate correctly
Soldering extension wires so that they would be long enough to reach into the Festo PLC
Modified the plumbing on the Package Analyzer in order that the fluid would flow to its specifications
Helped design Bottle Holder Apparatus for Package Analyzer
Programmed scripts in the Package Analyzer to run different operations
Worked with a design team in the U.S, Switzerland and Poland to design a global instrument
Worked with suppliers to draw, specify, and define new parts for the Package Analyzer
Co-op Second Summer
Pressure testing sensors to check for leaks to insure quality of product
Software Debugging on software to control production sensor system
Assisted customers to do online verification of calibrations
Traveled to perform field tests domestically in order to troubleshoot and improve factory installations
Design Project-Introduction to CAMWORKS January 2011 - April 2011
●Fabricated and uploaded Computer Assisted Design drawings and models using SolidWorks and CamWorks to learn 3D design principles
●Cut the designs out of steel and clay with the lathe or milling machine to learn about the process of computer operated machines
Design Project-Senior Design September 2015 - April 2015
Reverse Electodialysis
Designed and tested new reverse electrodialysis apparatus to achieve goal of building affective design
Trimmed new anion and cation membranes to fit new design parameters
Fabricated new design for spacers out of nitrile rubber sheet to fix leaks within the system cause by previous plastic spacers
