Business Development, Strategic Planning, and Proposal Management

Prepared the 5-year strategic plan for CPS division of L-3 Communications. Identified new products for development and production to meet customer demands and grow the business using existing company resources and personnel. Established orders pipeline to identify and monitor contracts, sales, and business growth. Deployed B&P budget and IR&D budgets to achieve business growth. Coordinated product development and company operating plans to meet requirements of U.S. and international customers for existing company products, spare parts, and technical support services. Program Management

Initiated, developed, and demonstrated a complete vehicle performance upgrade program to extend the useful service life of customer main battle tanks through 2050. Directed a team of nineteen subcontractors to complete the vehicle design, product integration, assembly and test certification within schedule and budget. Performed program oversight and systems engineering for the design, development, integration, and testing of the upgraded products required to bring the vehicle’s performance up to modern system standards. Implemented contracts with U.S. Government agencies using approved DoD acquisition procedures and requirements.

Prior Program Management and Product Manufacturing Experience

Varying degree of business development and program management responsibilities; proposal preparation and program responsibility for: MRAP, M113 Upgrade, Ground Combat Vehicle, Crusader Self-Propelled Howitzer, and Mobile Gun System vehicle development programs. Sr. engineer with GDLS in armaments department performing product design, development, test, and production support. Developed Improved Commander’s Weapon Station (ICWS) for M1 tank and presented the program to TACOM and Fort Knox customers for approval and production authorization. Liaison engineer supporting M60 and M1 tank manufacture, assembly, and production at the Detroit Arsenal Tank Plan (DATP).
