I am currently attending the ISU completing my Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology with an expected graduation date of 2016.

While attending the Idaho State University I have been trained in Psychology both clinical and research based along with specific training focusing on Substance Abuse disorders along with co-occurring disorders and the effect of employment and housing issues on mental health.

Along with my Bachelor Degree in Psychology, I have completed specific Health Education Courses in Certification of Alcohol and Drug Counseling (CADC). My CADC training has enabled me to learn the concepts of chemical dependency and knowledge of the medical model of addiction along with case management skills that facilitate recovery in the addiction-counseling field. My skills focus on motivational interviewing, individual intake and assessment, conducting therapeutic individual and family therapy sessions, along with developing and implementing treatment plans. I have learned to reassure clients through transitions while displaying cultural sensitivity and focusing on the needs of the client.

Through my training in mental health and psychology, I have obtained an ability to interact and listen to people while understanding their needs. My experience has enabled me to read people which I believe has helped me to feel at ease in any work environment in which communications skills are required.

Accounts, Office Manager. I managed an office of 17 people. My responsibilities included but were not limited to: employee payroll, all employee related issues including health/medical insurance and filing workman’s compensation claims. Duties included: Daily spread sheets, inventory control, all monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax obligations filing, all accounts payable and receivables, ordering supplies both office and company inventory, and managing vendors. I also worked in sales; telephone, online, in-person and participated in product and catalog design and production. I worked with several people above me and learned to manage my responsibilities along with the unique differences in personality of those individuals.

Office Project and Production Manager. I managed an office of 12 people. My duties included: employee scheduling and payroll along with project production management. I took care of all employee related issues, working with vendors, and packaging and design.

My employment position with Swift Solutions allowed me to participate in the creative production process, from an idea to a work in progress to a finished product along with marketing that idea.
