While at Foundation Coal/Alpha NR

Through observation of increase in prescription cost skyrocketing in the PA Workers’ comp medical cost, the research proved to show that through loopholes within regulations physician offices were dispensing prescription drugs in partnership with repacking companies charging sometimes ten times the market/retail cost of the drugs, not using the National Drug Cod (“NDC”) assigned by the original manufacturers. Standing strong and investigating these practices, I teamed with our governmental affairs people and the PA Chamber of Commerce to push for changes and succeeded in House Bill 1846, that will not allow this loophole.

Negotiated, drafted, and implemented the Drug & Alcohol Policy for union and non-union employees.

Lead a Strategic Planning Team and successfuly developed and implemented a new hire/applicant – exam/physical screening and background check program .

Wellness Coordinator for PA Services-Emerald and Cumberland locations- 2003 – 2011

-Developing activities, programs to increase interaction between locations and for employees to take an active role in their health and quality of life.

Greene County Relay for Life Captain from 2003 – 2010, supporting those that have been touched by the disease, along with raising over $100,000 from the dedicated employees.
