Introduction
Is a dedicated professional and responsible ship's officer. Sailed on a varied number of ships ranging from fishing, small bulk carriers, reefer and large container ships. Is fifty years old and is married with three children.
Obiective
Is desirous, due to his seamanship skills and allied hands on experience that he considers that he would be most suitable and for employment in the offshore shipping industry.
Training and experience
1979 - 1982 Outer Islands of Kiribati fishing fleets
OIN12 1983 - Attended the marine Training School Tarawa (GP training Deck, Engine Room & Catering)
1984 - 1988 -Coastal bulk carriers - during this time sat and passed EDI-1 8.11.86 & AB 02.04.87 certificates in Liverpool with FF & MMB endorsements.
1989 - 1991 - Refrigerated cargo ships
1992 - 1996 - German Container Ships
1997 1998 Hold a license of Chief Officer up to 15000gt on foreign vessels from UK, Promoted to third officer German Container Ships
1998- 2000 Lectured at The marine Training Centre Kiribati - seamanship, fire fighting, safety equipment, rescuer boats, lifeboats, embarkation, safety training, steering, compass and all related equipments including shipboard maintenance such as hull cleaning, painting, rigging stages, pilot ladders, derricks, wire splicing, rope-work, upper mast work, upper crane work, oiling greasing of equipment, mooring and Code of Safe Practices for Merchant Seamen.
2001- 2002 Returned to sea and served on large container ships as 3 rd Officer
19.03.2002 Sat and passed Class IV UK Certificate of Competency No. COC002 24825(Chief Officer Ocean Going Container Ship Going Up to 15,000 GRT)
2002- 2015 Sailing on large container ships and coasters as 2 nd & Chief Officer.
Up to date on all Auxiliary Certificates such as Ship Security Officer, Personal survival technics, Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats, Safety Officer, First Aid & Medical, Fire Fighting and Radar Training, ECDIS, Vocational certificates for transport of dangerous goods at sea.
