I have 38 years of experience on transportation projects. My experience includes serving as project manager for a major construction program for the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). I have 14 years of experience serving as resident engineer/inspector on various civil projects nationwide. Project experiences have ranged from the complex rehabilitation of New York’s Penn Station to providing construction oversight of multiple station, rail, and signal projects. My experience includes serving as construction manager on projects ranging in size from $30 million to $9 Billion. The latest of which was the Construction Manager for Package 1 of the Riyadh Metro overseeing all civil works construction. I served as the construction phase services manager for rail systems on an $8.6 billion project for eight years and as the design manager for multiple years on a design contract valued at $100 million. I have 14 years of experience as a resident engineer/inspector on civil/structural rail projects. I also served as the project manager for a major passenger railroad for 10 years, managing design and construction projects at 35 stations at one time, and having responsibility for the scope, schedule, and budget. Relocation of a major county road complete with new drainage and highway lighting.

The purpose of the project was to meet new TSA guidelines for improved security while enhancing the efficiency of passenger processing. New Jersey Transit NEWARK AIRPORT MONORAIL, Newark, NJ - May 01, 1998 - Nov 22, 2002 Job Role: Construction Manager/Deputy Construction Manager Job Description: Parsons served as the construction manager for the New Jersey Transit, Port Authority of New York/New Jersey, and Amtrak rail station connection between the Newark Airport Monorail and Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor (NEC). The project involved construction of an intermodal railroad station on Amtrak’s NEC, serving Newark International Airport via a transfer from New Jersey Transit or Amtrak to the airport monorail system. The new multimodal station consisted of two 1,050-ft. island platforms on the NEC connected by a 225 ft. long overhead pedestrian bridge to a 26,000 sq. ft. monorail station building with an elevated pedestrian platform for access to the monorail system.
