PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY:

Excellent professional experience in design, development and maintenance of Software Applications mainly in COBOL. He helped design and code the lending software that was purchased by Nations Credit and was later hired to lead a team to resolve multiple issues. He has maintained technical knowledge and proficiencies in COBOL and Structured Programming Techniques in IBM Mainframe and midrange processing, CICS, JCL, IMS, DB2, SQL and PC applications. Though out my entire career I have been consistently involved with new development testing and production support. The testing involved working with users to understand their expectations and designing test scenarios then communicating that to the developers. The support roles included problem solving and analysis in both the data and system processing areas. IDMS is just one of many file structures I have worked with over my career. Each of these have their on way of accessing and putting data. Coded COBOL extensively in IDMS data structure prior to FISERV and intermittently (depending on customer system, about 20 to 25%) while at FISERV. Have worked with multiple operating system upgrades during my career. I was mostly involved in identifying and specing modifications needed in my specific area of responsibility.
