OBJECTIVE: To be a part of a highly motivated team and use my diverse background to obtain a challenging position as a CAD engineer with an emphasis on design, finite element analysis and manufacturing methodologies. EDUCATION:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, FL December, 2014.

Master in Aerospace Engineering GPA: 3.4/4.0

University of Mumbai, Mumbai, India

July, 2012.

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical GPA: 3.37/4.0 SKILLS:

Software CATIA V5, ANSYS WORKBENCH, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, NEi NASTRAN, HEEDS, SAS 9.3. Skills Finite Element Analysis Methods, Safety Regulations, Design Procedures. Tools MATLAB, Mathematica, Maple, MS Office.

Machine Expertise Lathe Machine, Milling Machine, Drilling Machine, Grinding Machine, Welding. WORK EXPERIENCE:

CRESTTEK: Dublin, Ohio January 2015- February 2015 Title: Design Engineer Trainee

Responsibilities:

Exercised in CATIA V5 with practical applications.

Trained in part design modeling, surfacing and drafting methodology.

Trained in designing of Class B-surface from Class A-surface.

Industrial experience in plastic manufacturing methodology for automobile industries.

Industrial knowledge in die removal direction and plastic molding. PROJECT & COURSEWORK

“Design and Optimization of Screw Jack”:

Different parts of a screw jack were created using CATIA V5.

Strength, weight and production cost were optimized by changing the dimensions of the different parts of the screw jack using HEEDS.

The long term goal of this project was to minimize weight and cost of the screw jack without altering the strength of the material.

“Vibration Analysis of Boeing 747-400 wing”:

Tested and analyzed different mode frequencies generated for different ‘cant angles’ using NEi NASTRAN.

Utilized Boeing 747-400 characteristics and data.

“Structural Analysis of Nose landing gear”:

Performed a Static Structural Analysis of a Nose Landing Gear using ANSYS Mechanical ADPL 14.5.

The nose landing gear was assumed to be in the upright locked position. The landing loads were calculated theoretically.

The same Static Structural Analysis was also done theoretically using Finite Element Methods. The computational results were validated using theoretical results.

“Thermal stress Analysis of Bi metallic plate using Beam Theory”:

Temperature distribution and Thermal stress analysis was performed on a composite beam.

The geometry of the beam was created in NEi Nastran.

The result obtained from hand calculation and NEi Nastran was compared and an error of less than 5 percent was obtained.

“Machine Shop: Designing various jobs with the help of different machines”:

Different composite jobs consisting of minimum four parts employing operations on lathe, precision turning, screw cutting, boring, etc. and involving the use of shaping, milling and grinding operation were performed in the span of one and a half years.

A practical examination was held for one day i.e. for 6 consecutive hours and consisted of preparation of a composite job which had six to eight parts employing operations on the machines listed above.
