Vice President and Head of Risk Management Applications Portfolio

As a key member of the IT leadership team, responsible for independent stewardship of a $20.5M budget and delivery of capabilities to the organization as per overall corporate goals. Additionally, responsible for providing guidance and governance in areas of strategic planning and Enterprise IT Applications, while improving efficiencies of IT Processes & Expenses

Responsible for leading the effort to address areas as pertinent to the Federal Written Agreement – e.g:

oSuccessfully implemented Moody’s Risk Origins platform to replace the legacy credit grading system as mandated by the Federal Written Agreement

oImplemented BWise platform to manage Operational Risk and SOX Controls and AML Sanctions

oDeveloped a custom system for Loan Life Cycle – From Sales force, Request of Credit Approvals, Grading, Exception Tracking, TDR Mods, Problem Loam management Trend Cards and Loan and Risk Review

Delivered a Central Credit Data Mart integrating 21 receivable systems. Increasing Regulatory and internal reporting for CCAR, Stress Testing, Risk Aggregation and Management Reporting capabilities.

SIFI readiness requirements ( Pre- merger with One West Bank) to create and define templates for 14 M, Q and A reporting for CCAR and Stress testing

Manage critical integration projects for Accusation of Nacco ( France $ 4B ), Direct Capital ($ 2 B Portfolio) and One West Bank ($18 B Portfolio) to ensure smooth transition of policy and systems for consolidated reporting

Post the financial crisis was responsible for leading a number to initiatives aimed to increasing efficiencies and reducing costs on an ongoing basis. Some examples:

oCreated and led a 3 year roadmap to identify and integrate critical business functions like financial spreading, grading PD, LGD, Request for approvals and Regulatory Rating and workflow approvals etc. Increasing business productivity by 23% and reducing costs by 16% annually

Golden Tree Asset Management -

Golden Tree a privately held Hedge Fund wanted to review it current tax department’s processes. Provided leadership to drive strategic Tax Operations Review. Interview and document Tax Stakeholders – Legal, Compliance and Management Company business processes. Identified gaps and provided remediation recommendations that were later implemented by the group.

Veritas Capital -

Conducted an evaluation of internal controls. Reviewed current policies and procedures and recommend remediation’s for the missing gaps in SOX compliance, Personal Identity Information (PII).

Evanston Capital -

Evanston Capital a privately held Hedge Fund wanted to implement an Accounting and Allocations system to replace its current excel spread sheets. Evaluated multiple vendors in the market space based on current and future. Created evaluation and rating matrix to facilitate the best solution for the client.

Sandler O’Neil Partners -

Sandler O’Neill a leading private investment bank conducted a systems study of their main Thrift conversion business application - Bank Records consolidation and Buyers Orders Processing System. The project goal was to study the current systems and recommend changes.
