Education Philosophy :

I feel the education imparted should be child cantered in its approach. Children should be allowed to move at their own pace. Teacher student’s relationship is the key to the teaching learning process. Without mutual respect, trust, and caring, there is not likely to be any real learning going on. Teachers have to be multifaceted personalities for they need to be philosophers, thinkers, scientists, counsellors, researchers, artists, guide and have abundant energy and enthusiasm for learning. That indeed is a tall order. . I believe education is a critical element for an individual’s development and sense of identity. It is important that students gain knowledge through experiences within the classroom, which they can then put into practice in the real word. In my classroom, students become critical thinkers and develop confidence to meet high expectations. My open-minded nature makes the classroom/ staff / school as a whole a safe environment where everyone can share opinions and ideas. Technology is becoming an increasingly important aspect of society, and this is evident in my course content and teaching methodology. As a teacher/ Principal, I think it is important to allow students to explore and gain knowledge to form their own set of morals and values. At the same time it is crucial to help students ‘learn how to learn’ so that they are given every opportunity to achieve the best results in anything they set their minds to. “Never be scared of hard work” and “Trying your best will always lead to achieving the best of your ability”. These are a couple of personal mottos of my career.
