SUMMARY

Kellen Julio is a Durham-based journalist specialized in media relations and brand journalism. With 10 years of experience in Brazil, working in multinational companies as L’Oréal, NGOs or Public Sector, she has a strong practice working with corporate communication of brands, products, and public relations.

As a specialist on creating value to brands through the development of creative, relevant and compelling content, Kellen uses her inspired and honest way of working to create stories with an editorial-style that engages target audiences.

Kellen’s experience includes several challenging positions such as: working with local and international teams (France, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and México), in which she managed multiple projects; coordinating media results; disseminating major information about sustainability, operations (plants and distribution centers), financial results, human resources and R&D; and management of Corporate Crises. In the social media terrain, web monitoring and E-reputation analysis are her strongest experiences, besides the construction of editorial plans to increase and reinforce the brand image on Facebook, blogs or Twitter.

Her Brazilian beauty market knowledge and her good relationship with journalists enabled her to be invited to work for Alfaparf Milano (Italian Cosmetic Company) as PR to rebuild the company’s connection with the main journalists of the country and digital influencers. For this initiative, Kellen opened a communication consultancy firm four months ago.

As well as her professional career, Kellen is an enthusiastic student of African influence in Brazil and its reflections in the contemporary society.
