National Petrochemical Industry of Iran, Carbon-Black Plant (2008 – 2013)

Process Engineer /Plant shift supervisor

Member of engineering team in Coordination and set up the second phase of petrochemical plant with 15,000 tons of capacity of Thermal Carbon Black product (Hard & Soft grades), according to ASTM standard.

Collaborated and worked in a team based environment in the R&D department in the field of temperature effect of reaction zone on Carbon Black ‘s particle size .

Worked on producing the N 220 grade of product and on increasing the capacity of plant and yield of production up to 30% within a research budget of $ 1.5 M.

Played as one of key roles in big and important petrochemical plant in Iran, trained to supervise the entire plant shift operations with a staff of 56 employees,within a rotation shift.

Supervised the production line, QC section, feedstock section, storage section and the utility section Instrumental as one of key players of the R&D team to increase the capacity of plant from 15000 to 18000 tons/year by improving the oil feedstock (raw mat) of the plant.

Zanjir Pars Company, Iran (2002 – 2008)

Process Engineer/Plant Supervisor

Implemented Commission to design all the processes of paint and coating production line, based on water & oil base resins.

Set up equipment and machinery based on schematics, and conducted necessary tests to ensure smooth operations and functioning. Collaborated with 15 engineers and technicians and managed the QC & production line.

performed high standard formulation for various types of industrial paints and coats in the form of primer, middle and top coat system,according to system application & ASTM standard.

Identified and applied corrections on production process and formulation to maintain the quality and quantity of paint product.

First engineer in Iran that learnt the ‘know hows’ and designed the technology of surface treatment & paint formulation system for coating the galvanized and aluminum sheets which were applied to cover industrial steel structures in the form of normal formed sheets and sandwich panels.

Facilitated the formulation of the degreasing (hot dipped) and coating ( Fe/Zn phosphates – Al/chromate) and paint systems, as decorated & anti corrosive coats.

Innovatively conceptualized paint formulation & coating systems that resisted and coped with UV protection, chemical and weather resistance for different parts of Iran.

Chosen to work on some key projects such as the Atomic Power plant of Iran in south part, steel plant of

Khorasan subway of Tehran, CNG stations and power plants of Qazvin and Karaj and atomic plant.

National Petrochemical Industry of Iran, DSP Company, Carbon Black Plant, Tehran (1993 – 2002)

Process Engineer/Plant Supervisor

Supervised the entire plant operations over 65 staff by the DCS monitoring control system, consisted of production line, QC section, maintenance department (mechanical, electrical & instrumental )section, utility(air, steam and water supply) department.

Rectified issues and problems on process parameters to maintain production quantity & quality within ASTM rang and the plant in safe mode. I was accountable for maintenance of plant machineries, equipment, installations and commissioning,whole plant start up and performance running test.

Implemented the trained technicians for all sections.

Participated in big carbon black petrochemical plant erection for the production of soft and hard grades of

carbon black (N 220,330,339,375,550,660) which are applied for tire manufacturing industries(15000t/year).

Integral member of engineering team that performed the equipment installation, commissioning, start up

and running test of utility section of carbon black plant (RO system /DM water unsaturated steam air power supplies), trained technicians and conducted tests according to ASTM standards.
