I was employed as a Senior surveyor. My responsibilities included check surveys, Gyro surveys, projects surveys, assisting in underground Surveys when the Junior Surveyor went on leave, overseeing of all survey work as well as measuring work carried out by the Survey crew for Lesedi UG Chrome mine. My other duties included all surface infrastructure surveys that needed to be done as to update the mine statutory plans, as well as Stockpile measurements including scanning of bunkers, calculations and reporting of raw material stocks as well as Final product stocks on hand. I was also responsible for Open cast projects which were at various stages of operation. Opencast surveys included Blast pattern setouts, Reef measurements, and Overburden measurements, Stockpile measurements, in pit measurements and volumetric calculations and reporting. These projects included Lesedi opencast, Sky Chrome mine and Rooderand Chrome mine. I was also tasked to manage the safety systems in the MRM dept., discussing accidents and incidents in weekly meetings with fellow MRM employees and keeping minutes of these meetings for future reference. Other tasks were to relieve the Snr mine planner, whom was our HOD, when he went on leave.

I am currently unemployed after being retrenched due to the company, Internassional Ferro Metals applying for business rescue and laying off all employees.
