Engineering & Design:

Designed and laid-out fire protection sprinkler systems for one to eight story buildings including; Target, Wal-Mart, Penske, Disneyland resort & hotel, Veterans Medical Center Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, Country Wide, Mc Donald’s, Los Angeles Library as well as distribution centers, warehouses, auto show rooms, automotive repair garages, spray paint booths, and cold storage.

Designed and laid-out T.I. (Tenant Improvement) works on existing fire sprinkler systems on facilities undergoing renovations and remodeling

Utilized AutoCAD mechanical drafting program for designs maintaining compliance with, OSHA, National Fire Protection Association, Uniform Building Code, California Building Code, State and Federal Regulations, city & county codes and standards.

Performed hydraulic calculations using HASS (Hydraulic Analyzer of Sprinkler Systems) program for fire sprinkler systems to determine the optimum pipe sizes for the entire system.

Calculated and determined location & capacity of piping layout lateral & longitudinal sway bracings.

Studied architectural, structural; HVAC (Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning), electrical, and plumbing plans, sections & elevations to preclude running pipes to and on obstructions and determined the best possible piping layout.

Performed studies & researched alternatives to identify cost benefits & risks, providing presentations as needed to Operations and Maintenance Departments.

Project Management:

Reviewed and submitted design plans to AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) for plan check, permits and approval working with the Cities of Los Angeles, Long Beach, Cerritos, as well as the following counties: Irvine, Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Ventura and Riverside.
