Signature Brands, 2015 – 2016

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR – Supervised 13 personnel in the maintenance of food production metal formation equipment. Developed a Preventative Maintenance program to eliminate downtime and increase productivity. Identified problem areas and worked with engineers to redesign the equipment to better help productivity.

Pacific Drilling, 2013 – 2015

CHIEF MECHANIC – Performed highly difficult maintenance on ultra-deep water drilling equipment on a multi-billion dollar drill ship. Ensured personnel were trained on the operations and maintenance of the equipment. Worked with a multinational crew to accomplish the company’s goals.

TH Foods, Inc, 2012 – 2013

MAINTENACNE SUPERVISOR – Maintained food production equipment for a multi-million dollar company. Used Lean Six Sigma tools to identify downtime issues, create standard work for repairs, and eliminated waste issues. Implemented a 5S program to increase productivity and lower overall costs. United States Navy, 2009 – 2012

PRODUCTION CONTROLLER – Worked as the Waterfront Coordinator and Office Manager for Naval Submarine Support Facility in Groton, CT. Supervises all support services needed for the Naval submarines ported at the base. Participates as the office’s Certified Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma events. Qualified as a command Green Belt.

United States Navy, 1989 - 2009

SENIOR CHIEF – Completed 20-year career with the U.S. Navy. Gained upper-level manager status. Supervised both junior and senior personnel in the operation and repair of Naval nuclear propulsion plants. Participated in the first ever continuous process improvement/Lean Six Sigma project on Naval submarines. Specific duties and achievements include:

Management:

Led a department of over 50 personnel, nuclear propulsion plant, and a crew of 120 sailors. Managed the maintenance and testing of all corrective and preventative maintenance in the propulsion plant. These systems were highly instrumental in the success of the ship’s mission. Upgraded training curriculum and methods, cross-trained personnel in job duties resulting in lower supervision requirements and an increase in the department’s flexibility.

Operations & Logistics:

The primary logistical advisor to the Commanding Officer for cranes and pier management. Managed a $700,000 budget. Responsible for controlling the operation and scheduling of all crane support on Submarine Base New London. A recognized expert in planning and executing complex operations with 100% accuracy and success, including the continuous process improvement of crane operations.

Training & Development:

Designed a comprehensive and arduous training regiment to ensure personnel were qualified to operate and maintain a complex propulsion plant. Developed several programs for improving the department and command at all levels including an inspection program to identify and repair fix minor discrepancies, train the crew to combat casualties, and capture and correct reported problems from outside organizations. These programs increased productivity and operational reliability.

Assurance:

Performed numerous quality assurance maintenance items spanning various systems. Developed and maintained hundreds of quality assurance documents and procedures. Developed a strong quality assurance training program to ensure first-time success. Attended several quality assurance schools for the military and was the Assistant Quality Assurance Officer at two commands.
