I am responding directly to the Sales Manager/Business Development position I have recently seen posted online at several sites.

I have 30+ years performance in technical sales, sales-engineering, field engineering, business development, and Director-level and Sales Management experience selling complex systems to major broadband operators, broadcast digital television stations, tier 1 & 2 Telcos, wireless cell operators, and IPTV aggregators.

I am passionate about training, teaching, and mentoring up and coming technical sales professionals.

In 1995, my company developed the first and original computer-PC based algorithm decoding, distribution, and control system for this country’s Emergency Alert System (EAS). I sold that company to Trilithic, Inc. in 1998 and proceeded to work for, and develop that division of Trilithic over the next 14 years.

I was responsible for the development and sales of the network-based, distributed EAS signaling system for the U.S. and Canada, where I worked and trained personnel network applications, network architectures, including distribution of IP audio and IP video, and MPLS. These systems were deployed all over the U.S., Canada, and Central America.

After selling my interest in Trilithic’ s EAS division in 2012, I’ve been working for a unique, and smaller company, (ALLTEC LLC, Canton, NC), which operates in the wireless telecom market, as well as commercial/industrial/military markets selling complex grounding systems for cell towers, and industrial complexes. I am currently employed as their Sales Manager-Technical Sales and live, work, and travel from my home office in Piney Flats, TN.

2006 – 2012 / Director of Technology and Business Development - EAS Division

Trilithic, Inc, Indianapolis, IN

Trained all sales personnel on complex products and systems associated with both broadcast and broadband Emergency Alert System infrastructure.

Led the developmental team to identify and open new market segments for the Emergency Alert System Division in the Western Hemisphere and around the globe.

Worked closely with our technology partners to articulate their technology as part of our systems approach.

Directed development and sales with our technology partners.

Developed the only ASI/GigE IP video interface for direct video splicing of message injection into compressed video streams used in digital cable TV, Telco IPTV, broadcast DTV, and OTT streaming video systems with our partner company RGB Networks.
