Projects Details:
1. Tech-Lead for NBC (Mar 2010 to Dec 2010)
Based out of Bangalore worked as a technical lead as a
Technical Team Management and allocation of work to team members
Technical Lead / advisor for the project team.
2. Consultant Tech-Lead and On-site Coordinator at NBC Universal (2009 Nov to Feb 2010)
Worked as a team lead and on-site coordinator at Client site in New York USA for NBC Universal BI Team for the NBCU BI WINTER OLYMPICS project.
The scope of the project was to develop the 15 dashboard reports for the Finance and Sales Departments of NBC-Universal during the Winter Olympic 2010, Vancouver, Canada. The reports were to show daily status of impressions on videos and displays against the contracted impressions for different Sponsors on the site www.nbcolympics.com. These reports helped the team to give the pacing Vs previous years and against the previous days which helped the team to adjust the no. of displays for the upcoming days.
The data warehouse was customized to integrate the third party server impression into the NBC data warehouse so that the sales and the finance team can see the difference in the impressions they calculate and the impressions calculated by the third party, as the sponsors would depend mainly on the third party server details.
Responsibilities include
Conduct meeting with the Business and gather requirements on the reports
Analyse business requirements and translate into functional requirements.
Design the required database and design the ETL.
Pass on the Technical requirement to Off shore Team.
Review the developed reports and do Unit Testing on these reports.
Get the reports reviewed with client.
Conduct UAT with the client
3. Tech-Lead and On-site Coordinator at NBC Universal (2009 Jul to Nov 2009)
Worked as a team lead and On-site coordinator at Client site in New York USA for NBC Universal BI Team for the Enterprise Data Model project.
The scope of the project was to build a Common Database Model to Leverage Enterprise Data avoiding data duplication and build common ETL for data loads.
The Data base model, which existed, remodeled to incorporate an Enterprise data model avoiding the unwanted objects in the existing model.
Identify duplicate source data and building a single Interface gateway.
Identify the entities, which is grouped together as one Entity
Retire Interfaces, which load the common components in Oracle and migrate the DB to Teradata with the new DB model, which will be loaded by the common ETL tool and not individual businesses. Also a reverse load back from Teradata to Oracle was required for those business which continued to work in Oracle.
Responsibilities include
Understand the current Data model.
Analyze the data to remove the duplicate, unwanted and the entities, which could be grouped together into a single entity.
Design a new Data model in ERWIN.
Design Interfaces to load to the new db as well as the reverse loads back to the old database.
Co ordinate with other teams in the multi vendor environment in collecting information on their data loads into the new Data model.
4. Business Data Analyst at GE Capital-Americas, USA (2008 Nov – 2009 Jun)
Worked as a Business Data Analyst at GE Capital – Americas, Connecticut, US for EDW- Consistency Project.
Financial risk data from multiple source systems across different businesses / sub-businesses of GE Commercial Finance worldwide are pulled into Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). This enables Commercial Finance headquarters and different Businesses / Sub-Businesses to take efficient decision on capital deployment by having consolidated and detailed views of Risk Data from all of its businesses and sub-businesses.
Responsibilities include
Extensive study and analysis of existing financial systems across GE worldwide that will feed the Enterprise Data Warehouse as part of Consistency project.
Responsible for data analysis for different GE Business.
Creating output files for the comparison for the business managers.
Generate input data files for the different data warehouse feeds.
5. Technical Lead/Project Lead for GE Commercial Finance
(2006 July – 2008 October)
Worked as a Technical Lead/Project Lead at offshore for GL reimplementation project for GE Commercial Finance. The project was a re-implementation of the GL for CFS Europe which was a priority one application. The reimplementation was to integrate the CFS Europe and US GL. This was a development project and once the development was completed, it moved to the RTS supported by the same team working under my guidance.
Different sub ledgers send the file to Informatica team, which is processed by the team and sent to the GL staging table to post to GL and the journals and reports to be created. There was a common architecture defined for all the sub ledger files to be loaded. It is a multi vendor project and so involvement with other teams was required to resolve issues. This is a critical project for GE which had a support of 18/5 support during the usual working days and had a 24/7 support during the quarter close.
Responsibilities include
Leading the end-to-end implementation of the Priority One project for the Client
Requirement gathering
Creating the requirement document.
Design of the architecture for the project
Code review and data testing for the output
Guiding and mentoring new joiners to work on the project.
Lead the team in deployment and production support
Created and circulated the status report (weekly reports as well as the monthly reports) on the project to the client

6. Senior Developer/Team Lead (Offshore) for GE-Employers Reinsurance Corporation (GE-ERC) (2005 August – 2006 June)
Worked as a Senior Developer/Team Lead at offshore for Claim Payment Span project for GE-ERC. This project was to design and development of Claims Payment Timeliness, Accuracy Metrics and First Response for Direct Claims. Scope for this was 3 Source Systems (2 Access database and 1 Excel extract as detailed later) for the Select Markets P&L.
The project was to develop data marts for loading the source data. Develop Informatica mappings/workflows that will load data from the specified source systems and load data to the data marts. Design and develop summary cube with required dimensions and measures from data mart. Design and develop drill through Cognos Reports for Payment TAT, Payment Accuracy and First Response. Create extract feeds from data mart to Digital Cockpit database
Responsibilities include
Development of Informatica mappings for Stage and Warehouse.
Creation of sessions and workflows that will load data from the specified source systems (.CSV and Access) to the stage database and then to the target data mart.
Creation of Stored Procedures.
7. Senior Developer (Offshore) for GE-Commercial Finance,UK (2004 April – 2005 March)
Worked as a Senior Developer for Corp Apps, RTS and IT Enabling project for GE-Commercial Finance.
GE Capital - Commercial Financial Services (CFS) Europe aims to consolidate and enhance its business intelligence capability to seamlessly access data from the 5 existing platforms (HQ, UK, Italy, Programs and France) through a single data repository. The centralization of business indicators will enable multi-level cross-functional pan-European analysis to take place and provide all levels of management with real time business performance metrics.
The expected benefits of implementing a European Data Warehouse are more automation/less rework, enabling real time metrics therefore increasing productivity, consistency of data analysis and easy access to business data, more trend analysis worthy data and efficient data capture.
Responsibilities include

1. Committee Member – Communications in Bowman PTA (Sep-2014-till date)
I am working as a volunteer for the Bowman PTA. I am the administrator for PTA online directory. Responsible for the entire online directory related jobs which include, yearly graduation of the students, granting access to the members, resetting password. I have made printed directory for those who wanted to have a hard copy of the directory.
2. Room Parent in Bowman PTA (Sep-2014-till date)
I am working as the communication liaison for the class. This job was to work as a communication bridge between the teacher and the class parents.
3. Science Club organizing committee. Bowman PTA (Sep-2015-16)
I am working in the organizing committee for club for the school. Actively involved in the end to end process of running the science club which include notifying parents to sign up for the club, track the registered students and the parent volunteers to help run the club. Purchase the material for the club and smoothly run the club.
