Branch Manager, Accounting Systems Division providing Business Accounting Systems in Tampa & Jacksonville, Florida for the Shaw-Walker Co. (Muskegon, Mich.). The Hill-Pin Co., Inc., (Owner/ President, Tampa & Jacksonville Florida), currently a Licensed Property & Casualty Insurance agent.

I managed a company that had approximately 2400 business clients. We provided Accounting Systems to these companies. I employed 16 employees in both branches. I assisted CPAs in assessing and creating accounting systems for their clients. We were very successful in caring for our customers.

• Since I had been in sales for the Shaw-Walker Co. for 6 years and had been the Branch Manager for the Tampa and Jacksonville, when Shaw-Walker decided to cease operating branch businesses, they asked me if I would be interested in purchasing their Tampa and Jacksonville branches. Shaw-Walker had decided to sell all their branch operations. I purchased the Tampa and Jacksonville branches in 1973 and named the new company "Hill-Pin Co.", after the primary counties where the customers were located in Florida. In 1981, with a customer base of 2400 customers, I realized computers were coming and hand-written accounting systems would become obsolete. I invested in computer systems that could handle accounting systems. Every 18-24 months, the hardware and software I had purchased was obsolete because there were no standards in the computer industry in the early 1980s. I sold the Hill-Pin Co. in 1991 and moved my family to Denver, Co. and became a Life & Health Insurance Agent specializing in group health policies. Unfortunately, Bill Clinton was elected President and insurance companies did not want to write new policies until President Clinton finalized all his new insurance regulations.

• In 1993 I entered the Auto Industry. I sold vehicles for John Elway Honda and was the #1 sales person out of 36. In 1996 I opened and managed the Internet Dept. for John Elway. In1997 John Elway sold the dealership to AutoNation. I was then asked to be Sales Manager at Planet Honda which had been purchased. After being Sales Manager for Planet Honda for 18 months, Marshall Chesrown called me and asked me to be the General Manager of his Lincoln, Mercury, & Mazda dealership in Boulder, Colorado. Unfortunately, Marshall Chesrown sold to Auto Nation also in 1999. I then started a Wholesale dealership and within 2 years purchased the largest used car dealership in Longmont, Colorado. Unfortunately, I purchased the dealership on January 1, 2001 and 9-11 happened that year. I sold the auto dealership in 2003 after my wife past away. I am a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist and I have been an instructor at Colorado Independent Auto Dealers Assn., teaching dealers all of the new Federal regulations relating to Identity Theft and Privacy. I currently am a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance agent, licensed in Colorado. I specialize in business insurance accounts.
