WORK EXPERIENCE

Dow Corning Corporation, Midland, MI plant (2012 - present).

Team leader accountable for over 67 different products within the Organo Supply chain. Technology includes fixed bed reactors (hydrosilation), reactive distillation (alkoxylation), vacuum distillation, homogeneous catalytic continuous processes, HCl/MeCl compressors, and batch kettle reactors. Products leverage over $3.6 billion for the corporation. Responsible for all employee development and all technical changes in production building. Maintain both expense and capital budgets.

Hemlock Semiconductor Corp (Dow Corning sub), Clarksville, TN 2009 – 2012

Hired 32 chemical and mechanical engineers that were divided into 3 separate teams responsible for following construction, obtaining management approval (management of change), and executing startup of new $1.2 billion polycrystalline silicon manufacturing green site.

Hemlock Semiconductor Corp. Hemlock, MI plant 2007-2009

Overall startup manager for the Shamrock manufacturing project producing silane. Responsible for hiring both internal and external engineers to follow construction (management of change) and startup of the new Dow Corning/Hemlock Semiconductor business.

Dow Corning Corporation. Midland, MI plant (2006-2007)

Manufacturing rep for mega project stretch of the resin process at the Midland, MI plant. Responsible for all management of change, construction/design changes, operator and building staff training, and startup.

Dow Corning Corporation. Midland, MI plant (2001-2006)

Process engineer supporting the Organo Supply Chain. Responsible for the commercialization of 5 new organosilane products for Dow Corning. This resulted in a Dow Corning patent for novel way to produce epoxysilanes.

Hemlock Semiconductor Corporation. Hemlock, MI plant (1996-2001)

Hired into the Dow Corning family during the PHARO III polycrystalline silicon expansion. Team member on the plant vent startup team then lead the startup team for the new spray dryer process. Soon after was manufacturing engineer for the HCl recovery process. After working for Hemlock Semiconductor for 3 years, was made a team leader for the intermediates area managing 2 chemical engineers and 16 operators.

HOBBIES

Passion for duck and deer hunting. Enjoy fishing for walleye and king salmon in the great lakes of MI. Never had a chance to fish the Tennessee lakes while assigned there. Want to someday raise miniature cows on my place in Cedar Hill, TN.
