Job Title: Electrician/ Mechanic
Job Description: As an underground electrician/mechanic I worked on all mobile equipment including diesel and electric. I troubleshot problems with different equipment to determine what parts were needed for each job. I also worked alongside MSHA doing permits on all running and non-running equipment. Repaired faulty wiring, conduit and all parts failing, also filled out Federal books for each piece of equipment worked on and used by the operators. I was able to pinpoint electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and nomadic problems. I ran equipment, torch, stick welder, wire welder and also air arch. Set up the roll up doors, worked from ladders, scaffolds, lifts and harnesses. I maintained a clean work environment and tested all equipment to make sure all was running correctly before leaving my shift.

Job Title: Mechanic/ Electrician
Job Description: I was the lead man on shift. We installed and tested fire suppressions. I would take equipment in and out of the mine using hoist, cables and wenches. I was responsible for ordering parts and making sure each crew had all parts needed to properly do their job. I would rebuild and repair gear boxes, install rear ends and work on cooling systems. Check and record fire extinguisher and rescuers. I also worked in the yard with fork trucks, loading and unloading trucks.

Job Description: I was responsible for my crews payroll. Making sure jobs were set up with correct parts and tools for my employees. I took care of the oil tank farm, keeping oil within 10* of proper temperature of operation. I worked on elevators, took care of cooling towers, vent fans, and also exhaust fans. Made sure everything worked properly and stayed working throughout the shift. I unloaded rail cars that carried carbon. I worked on heat and air, also with air compressors. I also would help shipping and receiving load and unload, make purchase orders. It was my responsibility to set up parts for set ups and shut downs.
