Special Education Division: District wide Responsibilities included the health and safety of students assigned to me, 1 to 1 supervision at all times, followed the lead of the classroom teacher and responded accordingly to all medical issues of students in my care.

Primary role was as the Operations Manager for our location. I oversaw 4 different types of computers, their software applications and became the liaison between Corporate POS Help Desk and the management team.

This is a wonderful private school in which a Team Oriented Approach is used in a traditional classroom setting. I taught approximately 80 4 year olds, each year, a highly effective Kindergarten and Early Childhood program that included all subject areas with an extra emphasis on reading and mathematics.

Creative play, cultural arts, music, computer technology, sports, multicultural diversity awareness and anti-bullying programs were built into our daily curriculum of activities as well.

Other Interests:

Published several teaching activities in Mailbox Magazine, a magazine designed to help boost the creative process for teachers and continued as a freelance writer for several years.

Volunteer/Hospice - as an educator I have worked with terminally ill children, babies and their families. I continue to volunteer for terminally ill children and adults. There is a lot to learn about life from those who are seriously ill and dying.

Classically trained professional singer and background in Voice pathology.

Reading, music, the cultural and theatre arts are an absolute passion of mine!
