* I was initially hired to be the portable CMM technician. I was responsible for the programming of a 12 ft. Romer arm with a V4 laser scanner attached.
* The parts scanned were automotive interior parts, such as headliners, door panels, and door component parts.
* I programmed using PC-DMIS portable software and produced reports using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and PC-DMIS’s reporting software.
* I was moved into the New Model Launch Team and promoted to Color Development Engineer.
* The duties for my new job included inspection of parts for color acceptance, liaison to the customer on color issues and working with suppliers on the development of resins to meet customer specifications.
