CSX Corporation Software Engineer Intern (Jan 2015 - Aug 2015)

Worked closely with a dynamic testing team for a ‘Train Yard’ simulation R&D project, running various test scenarios to validate Key Performance Index (KPI) measures.

Later wrote SQL queries/stored procedures to extract simulation results, developed Python scripts for post- processing the data to facilitate auto generation of analytical graphs.

The comparison of graphs with earlier data showed that the company could reduce the operating cost of trains by almost 5 to 7 percent if implemented in real time.

Developed a web application for Train Design and Optimization using a shortest path model for a specific origin/destination pair. Modified UI and backend logic of an existing web application that helped in reducing training costs of train operators by minimizing operational overlaps. Capgemini India, Ltd. Part of the ABAP team that successfully implemented mainly EWM along with SD and MM modules for the US based client to change their IT infrastructure to a SAP platform.

Developed Smart Forms, ALV reports, User Exits, Function Modules and designed user screens by leveraging Module Pool Programming in SAP Release R/3 ECC 6.0.

ParkUF Android Application (Sept 2014 - Dec 2014)

Designed complete UI for an Android application to view nearest available parking spaces in the vicinity of the University of Florida campus for Android 4.4 and higher using Android SDK with ADT plugins.

Integrated it with the PIR sensor output data from MongoDB server application using Node.js with Express Framework on Amazon Web Services EC2 platform.

Twitter Engine Simulation (Oct 2014 - Dec 2014)

Developed a scalable distributed system in Scala that simulates Twitter Engine using the Akka Actor Model to handle tweets and retweets.

Used Spray IO for implementing the Restful API on the actor model for updating the tweets. Server was able to handle 6,000 tweets per second for around 10,000 users. Distributed Bitcoin Mining System (Aug 2014 - Sept 2014)

Developed a distributed system in Scala using Akka Actor Model for efficient Bitcoin Mining using the SHA-256 hash function where the master sever distributes the work to its clients and also participates in the computation. TECHNICAL SKILLS
