Professional services include conducting extensive research for the preparation, consolidation and analysis of thirteen (13) years financial statements and preparation and analysis of ten (10) years financial statements for Miami and Jamaica locations for two (2) agencies within the Ministry of Tourism, liaising with the agencies’ external auditors and managing the administrative process for winding-up a limited liability company; assisting with the resolution of the Auditor General’s audit queries; performing operational audits and preparation of: Business Plans; Profit & Loss forecasts and business operational models, inter alia.

National Solid Waste Management Authority – Finance Director (Kingston, Jamaica) 4/2008 –1/2010

Strategic Management of the Finance division and Accounting departments for five companies across Jamaica (with twenty three team members):

Developed a finely tuned accounting department, fostering a collaborative environment that improved productivity, individual accountability and increased team morale, resulting in greater efficiencies and reduction in waste

Re-designed financial systems, reports and schedules to improve forecast precision, standardized reporting procedures across five entities, and managed the acquisition of entity wide software solution

Developed investment strategies and conducted negotiations to earn over $9M in interest annually; designed and implemented cost reduction strategies to eliminate more than $4M in annual operational spend
