During my career as electrician, I have held very responsible positions as Team Leader. I have the proven ability of working in a team environment and have always enjoyed working as part of a team which is very important when working on a big site with colleagues.
In my job it is extremely essential to adhere to safety regulations and this is a priority in my role. In accordance with these regulations we have to be well equipped in all the safety gear especially to avoid any unwanted risks.
I am accustomed to working under pressure especially when meeting deadlines for the job undertaken. Therefore I feel confident that am an asset to the company I work for. I believe in doing my work to prove the good image of the company at all times.
I mainly worked in renovations, constructions and maintenance of buildings and industries. I am now working in the maintenance department of the Henessy Court Properties ltd assuring the electrical work. I have performed several types of electric installations with fault findings and rectifications of defects. My duty consists of the installation and commissioning of any apparatus such as generator, chiller, split unit, cooker unit and their respective protection devices. I am also responsible for the good running of all the appliances.
After the completion of any electrical installation and before power is available, I normally carry out the following test: Insulation, continuity and Earth loop impedance test.
Insulation test which is done with a Mugger.
Continuity test with the help of an OHM Meter.
Earth loop impedance test with an Earth Loop Meter.
When I am satisfied with the above mention test, I then make power available in the whole system. I carry out the voltage test by means of a Volt Meter and do the earth loop test with an Earth Loop Meter. I confirm the proper rotation of the phase by means of a Phase Rotation Meter. When all the equipment are on load, the last test to be affected is the ampere test which is done by a Clamp Meter.
I also perform
Wiring, Layer of cable, Fixation of cable tray, cable ladder & bus riser.
Assembling, cabling and connecting of main low voltage panel.
