Description

The project involves the study of the marketing triangle, marketing mix, flower of services and 4Is of insurance incorporated at LIC (India) Ltd. It analyses the changing trends and describes the potential based on the study of insurance sector. The finding of the project widens the consumer understanding aspect and it would be very helpful to imbibe customization.

Interacting with employees of LIC at different levels to gather information regarding marketing strategies

Observing physical evidences at LIC used in creating awareness among consumers

Final Semester Project

Rane Brake Linings Ltd.

Description

Designing and developing intranet portal for Rane Brake Linings Ltd. Rane Brake Linings does not have portal for processes other than payroll processing. Considering this, the project involves designing and developing intranet portal for ‘Grievance Handling’ and ‘Conference Room Booking’. Three-tier architecture is used for this purpose. Other requirements are MS Visual Studio with Interdev, SQL Server 2000 and ASP. Minimizing manual work increases effectiveness and also reduces the cost and time of implementation of processes. In addition to involving in portal development, I was working in payroll function.

Responsibilities

Act as the liaison between payments and the Payroll department.

MIS generation & Tracking method.

Deduction of PF,ESIC. Income Tax, Overtime calculation.

Data export import facility for masters, attendance etc.

Preparation of payroll related reports for managers.

Interacting with HR team to gather information about HR policies incorporated at Rane Brake Lining Ltd

Reviewing BoK to familiarize myself with their processes

Coordinating with different functional heads to know about optimization of resources

Conducting surveys among employees for grievances like job satisfaction, canteen facilities, welfare measures, etc
