Responsible as an operator for a number of T-1 and T-2 systems on a contract basis for McGowan Well Water Compliance Management Company in Ridgewood, NJ since 2003 to Present.

October 2007 to August 2012: Water Treatment Plant Manager

PRIDE INDUSTRIES, Fort Dix Military Base, Fort Dix, New Jersey

Licensed operator of record for Fort Dix Water Department, responsible for operation &maintenance of surface water plant and several deep ground water wells.

Set the proper guidelines for the operators for different stages of the water treatment process to ensure the production of a safe potable water 24/7.

Comply with all state and federal regulations related to the drinking water. Complete all monthly and quarterly state operating reports. Handle annual state audits and inspections.

Attend conferences, seminars and conventions related to water quality and water treatment techniques in order to stay abreast of the latest in water treatment technology.

August 2000 to October 2007: Senior Chemist Middlesex Water Co., Edison, NJ

Perform water testing using wet chemistry techniques as well as instrumentations such as Atomic Absorption spectrophomoter, Gas Chromatography, GC/MS, UV, pH meters, etc... In a State-certified water testing laboratory.

Maintain & calibrate on-line process control instrumentations such as chlorine analyzers, streaming current detectors, pH meters, and Turbidity meters. Perform Jar tests in order to evaluate new chemicals and to optimize water treatment. Write and update SOP`s, standard operating procedures, for different laboratory tests to satisfy state requirements. Perform non-routine special projects as needed.

March 1998 - August 2000: Water Treatment Foreman /Watershed Administrator

Brick Township MUA, Brick NJ Oversee the daily O & M of a 16 MGD water treatment plant utilizing both surface and ground water sources, using a SCADA system.

Make the necessary changes in chemical dosages. Evaluate new treatment chemicals and techniques for optimum coagulation to reduce the disinfection by-products using jar testing and other techniques.

Maintain ample inventory of treatment chemicals. Conduct plant tours for school children and other groups. Engage in special projects to improve overall plant O&M.

Train and evaluate the performance of 5 treatment plant operators. Developed a watershed monitoring program.

Sept. 1997 - March 1998: Water Quality Specialist

Fort Dix Water Department Contract position

Provide Technical assistance to the Fort Dix Water Treatment plant and to the laboratory.

Co-ordinate, collect and analyze test samples for Fort Dix and with outside certified laboratory.

Troubleshoot certified water laboratory`s deficiencies in order to comply with state inspection and with the EPA annual proficiency samples program. Conducted microbiological and chemical analyses.

Sept. 1983 - Dec. 1996: Laboratory Supervisor, Elizabethtown Water Company, Bound Brook, NJ

Supervised and motivated a staff of seven water chemists and lab technicians in a state certified water testing laboratory.

Maintained lab certification to comply with the SDWA in four areas of analyses including, microbiological, trace metals, GC and wet chemistry.

Evaluated the operation of the company`s treatment plants and waste treatment facilities.

Handled state audits and inspections, customer complaints, and water quality complaints. Maintained adequate inventory of lab reagents and supplies.
