EXPERIENCE

2011 – Present Self Employed as a Contractor

I did various projects in the area. Such as interior finish carpentry, hanging doors and wood trim, and setting windows. I have a CA General Contractors License. Some of the time I am semi retired. I feel that I have a lot to offer in the construction Industry because of my extensive experience. My objective is to fill a position as a Senior Project Manager with a Construction Management Company or a General Contractor.

2004 – 2011 Glotel - GE Modular Space – ModSpace General Contractors

I contracted with GE Equipment Services, Modular Space through Glotel as a Project Manager. I am responsible for obtaining bids from vendors to complete the modular units and any on & off site work. I covered areas in California, Nevada, Wyoming, New Mexico, & Arizona. I prepared all of my reports on Constructware and through email.

I changed Companies, I kept the same position and supervisor, but was changed to a Senior Project Manager.

The following is a list of projects when I was a Project Manager for GE Modular Space from April 2004 through May 2007.

Will Smith was my supervisor during that time period, except for when I did the project in Deming, NM. His phone number is in the Sacramento Branch Office, 916-***-****.

• Rudolph and Sletten at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital.

• Mohave County, AZ project in Colorado City, AZ.

• Antelope Medical Center, Gillette, WY.

• Fluor Enterprises, Inc. construction offices at the Deming NM, new Electrical Power Plant.

• South Eastern Arizona Behavioral Health project in Benson, AZ.

1996 – 2004 Self Employed as a Contractor

I contracted as an estimator for G.R. Engineering in Long Beach, CA. I prepared concrete and asphalt estimates for his on & off site work. I did estimates for him for about six years.

I also contracted with Granite Transformations of Temecula, CA through Kesler Contracting. My primary work was kitchen remodeling in various cities in Southern California. I worked for Granite Transformations for about four years.

1990 –1996 Dynamic Builders and Developers

Contracts Administrator/Project Manager for a general contractor/developer engaged in the construction (build to suit and hard bid) of multi - million dollar industrial concrete tilt-up and masonry style buildings, subterranean & above ground parking structures.

Scope of activities include: Bidding and estimating projects, (utilizing the conceptual estimating method for build to suit) coordinating with in-house architect, engineers, and various owners, preparing of contracts, change orders, and purchase orders, cost accounting and recap of estimate vs actual costs, scheduling with subcontractors and superintendents.

l988 - l990 Finfrock/Maple Constructions Co., Costa Mesa, CA

Project Manager for a general contracting firm engaged in tenant improvements of retail stores, restaurants, and offices. Including a ground-up 57,000 square foot concrete tilt-up office/warehouse building. Completed l0 projects in the South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa.

Scope of activities include: coordination of all related subcontractors and suppliers, estimating, preparing contracts and invoicing, preparing schedules, interfacing all constructions phases with the owners, architects, engineers, and local building officials, responsible for all projects from start to completion.

Employed as a superintendent for one year, then moved up to project manager. Trained two entry level superintendents for field work.

1984 – 1988 CCSI Construction Co., Colorado Springs, CO

Owner/General Manager of a construction company engaged in general contracting and construction management, doing tenant improvements and extensive remodeling of retail store, restaurants, and offices.

Scope of activities include; office supervision, estimating, finance and sales, maintain all books, scheduling, coordinate all construction activities, supervise up to ten employees.

1980 -1984 GESCO Management Corporation, Rawlins, WY

Senior Project Manager for a construction management/general contractor engaged in multi-million dollar projects. Includes; schools, offices, parking structures, subterranean structures, libraries, science buildings, hospital additions, and school gymnasiums.

Scope of activities include; slide presentations to potential clients, conceptual estimating, writing specifications and bid packages, interfacing with the owners, architects, and engineers, negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, prepare CPM and BAR schedules, analyze drawings, approve invoices, chair project pre-construction and weekly scheduling meetings, prepare all contracts and vendor purchase orders, prepare payment schedules to forecast subcontractor and supplier invoice requirements for the various owners.

*Specific achievements; Assisted the corporation set-up and organize GESCO Management Corporation into a Construction Management Company. Developing ways to establish a bid-package style of bidding out the construction phase. Through forecasting payment requirements, was able to assist the County Treasure in being able to maximize their investment returns and earn an additional $70,000 during the construction phase. Develop better methods of using the computer for payment schedules during the construction. Develop better methods for conceptual estimating.
