ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Title: Cavity Milling of a metallic block using NX CAM

Created a part model and performed the necessary milling operations(Rough, Semi Finish and Finish) to show the various process involved in Cavity Milling Area Operation using NX CAM tool and hence generate the CNC code for actual Operation.

Title: Centrifugal Pump

Created an assembly model of a centrifugal pump in NX CAD 9.0 software package as per industry standards. Tools used:- Part modelling(Sketcher, Extrude, Revolve, sweep etc.), Assembly, Rendering etc.

Title: X-FLIGHT (GARUD)

Duration: September,2013- February, 2014 ( Final Year Project)

Created a prototype of a tactical flying suit that intends to propel the pilot when strapped on the back using two miniaturized gas turbines. This tactical suit will be suitable for Indian military as a weapon for short aerial missions for performing tactical air strikes due to its extreme maneuverability and with its small size and the material used for manufacturing, it cannot be detected in RADAR as well making it a lethal option for counter insurgency operations.

Title: To study the working mechanism of conventional and non conventional machines

Duration: 1st june,2013-12th july,2013 (Summer Training)

Pursued 6-weeks summer training in Central Institute Of Hand Tools. The objective of the training was to understand the working mechanism of various non conventional machining processes and to learn about various heat treatment processes.
