Reported Expense and Capital monthly budgets, Labor Allocation. Utilized Labview to facilitate test profiles and data acquisition on electro-mechanical testing. Performed validation testing and test scheduling on new and existing product lines.

Defined and issued capital expenditures for the lab to purchase new lab equipment.

Large Truck seat manufacturer. Directed modernization and expansion of Test and Development Lab, which included a Multi-Axis Simulation Table (MAST), and other state-of-the-art test equipment.

Reduced truck seat development time by 25%, by developing new truck seat test strategies.

Increased truck seat comfort and quality by establishing a Warranty Analysis Lab to investigate field returns.

Test Lab Manager

Manufacturer of Automotive Ignition cable Assemblies. Renovated five test labs that supported new product development: this included: Analytical Test Lab, Prototype design Lab, Quality Test Lab, Reliability/ Life Test Lab, and Warranty Analysis lab.

Served as liaison between Product Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure a smooth and timely transition between new product development and manufacturing. Reduced product cycle times, which decreased production costs, and increased quality thru DFM and six-sigma methodologies.

Expanded test capabilities to include Vibration testing, automated test procedures, redesigned lab equipment and test fixtures to perform durability and Life testing, which reduced new product development lead times.

Managed the whole new product design process (from Cradle to Grave). Documented new test procedures (SOP’s), Lead groups that performed FMEA analysis and produced Control Plans, to enhance quality of new products. Performed OEM Product Validations, tested new materials for cost reductions, and implemented lean manufacturing procedures to reduce costs.

Instrumental in new product development of Nicolet’s Non-Destructive X-Ray Imaging system.

Designed and documented new manufacturing processes (wrote SOP’s), that led to reduced costs and higher quality.

Supported Engineering R&D for new product development. Developed new materials and introduced Lean manufacturing processes that reduced cost, and increased quality of new product introductions.

Product Development Technician

Designed, built, and tested Engineering prototypes for two new product introductions- G.E’s CT System, and a new Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging System.

Instrumental in product development of new ultrasound system. This included design, fabrication, and testing of all prototypes, and design and documentation of new manufacturing procedures.

Supported product development of CT Imaging System. Designed, and tested engineering prototypes of a new modular detector used in the CT imaging system. Implementing these designs into manufacturing, resulted in increased quality (70% scrap reduction), and reduced manufacturing costs by 50%.
