DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assessment of vital parameters of the patients.

Preparation of the unit and admission of the patients.

Assisting in various as E.T. Tube insertion (in an emergency), PD Cannula insertion, Ryle’s tube insertion, Lumber Puncture, Bone marrow aspiration.

Care of equipments and supplies in the ICU. Inventory of drugs and supplies.

Tasks of team leader to co-ordinate the activities of staff in shift duties.

Providing basic nursing care to the patients and attending to the activities of daily living suctioning, back care other personal needs of the patients.

Communicating with the patients relatives and clarifying the doubts of the patients.

Providing special personal and nursing care to the elderly and dementia patients.

Maintaining personal hygiene of the patients.

Taking special hygiene of the patients.

Taking special care of critically ill patients.

Preparation of the crash cart and intubations tray.

Collection of samples (Sterile and routine) evaluation and reporting of results.

Preparation of the patients for various investigation.
