Analyst III - (03/22 - Current)

Responsible for abend recovery for all batch processing on the mainframe,Unix,

and NT boxes using OPC as the schedular on the mainframe and Tivoli as the

schedular on Unix and NT systems.Also run ad-hoc applications as requested from

application programmers.Responsible for monitoring Data Protector which is a

software package used for data backups. Use the ITO browser for all abends,Data Protector

failures,and various other system errors. Use Quest Stat for application program change activity.

Use Remedy IT Service Management for tracking and updating all abends and all ad-hoc

requests.

Developer IV - (10/96 - 03/04)

Worked with the Business Marketing group - Was responsible for numerous

ad-hoc mailings using SQL to select demographic criteria from the DB2

database for promotional Radio Shack mailings.

Some of these include the ZIP-ZAP promotions, the Toy Catalog, the

Self-Expression promotions, several wireless phone promotions, and various

frequency compression promotions. Also was responsible for the Radio Shack

flyer on a monthly basis. This would include selecting the recency-frequency

modeled customers and merging them in with a Shepard data base model,

de-duping the file, and using version controls for different states for

final selection. I also randomly added bar codes to the files and loaded them

to a tracking file on DB2 for after-mailed tracking purposes. Used PGP to

encrypt files on CD's for mailings. Extensive use of JCL, control cards,

procs, and pds members. Extensive knowledge of Syncsort.Also used CHANGEMAN

to catalog changes. Used the BMC utility to run quick SQL one-shots as well

as monitoring long running DB2 selects. Also used Crystal Reports on a

monthly basis as well as ad-hoc requests. Used TRACE for quality assurance

purposes. Extensive knowledge of SAR/EXPRESS. Also used REMEDY to send work

requests and to close out abend tickets generated by the help desk. Also

changed SAS programs, control cards, procs, and PDS members to accommodate

a 3-byte addition to the MBNA credit card customers. Extensive knowledge of

the FTP facility.

Senior Production Support Coordinator (8/95 - 10/96)

Moved to the 4th floor in January to do ad-hoc applications for the

advertising group. Helped this group with Radio Shack, Computer City, and

Tech-America mailings, promo-loads and ad-hoc systems. Built the Red Brick

system by coding all the JCL, procs, and pds members and using CA7 to

schedule these systems by calendar date, start times, dependencies, and DSN

triggers. Built several GDG indexes for many of the files.

Payroll Coordinator (5/83 - 8/95)

Worked in all aspects of production support that included scheduling, JCL

changes, proc changes, and pds changes for systems that included Financials

(Payroll, Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Card,

Department, Stock Purchase Plan, Tandy Investment Plan, mailing lists,etc.I

did AS400 applications and scheduling for Computer City and Incredible

Responsible for mainframe operations, job flows, abend recovery, and document
