Birthdays are for celebrating and honoring the aging with some good old'-fashioned humor. Really, who can resist a snicker when they hear that someone believes that birthdays are like boogers? The more you have, the harder breathing becomes! Clearly, people like to laugh at the thought of their own mortality, and thankfully so since life really is like a box of cherries. Some days are sweet and others are filled with the pits! We all should use funny happy birthday messages on a daily basis!

Isn’t it nice to know that others are concerned with the amount of fire one cake filled with candles could actually create while using goofy messages like: "Don't let the old fart in you get too close to those candles!"? PLASTIC CONTAINERS: TO BE OR NOT TO BE

Whom else has a love-hate relationship with plastic containers? There are a few of you out there that understand this quandary and the pros and cons that keep our heads spinning.

On a positive note, plenty of kiddos think plastic milk jugs make perfect painted elephant heads with a little acrylic paint. Then, there is the avid Gardner who has graduated from using the frilly garden paraphernalia while respectfully trying to lessen the landfills by keeping plastic milk containers as watering cans and planters. We thank you.

Then, there is the issue of overstocking landfills with non-biodegradable plastic sources. Mother Earth is not thanking us here.

RELATIONSHIP AND SPIRITUAL

With so many choices stimulating our minds today, we see some magnificent opportunities which would appear to make our lives happy ones. But, from time to time we are faced with some challenging questions. “What inspires me? Where do I really see myself, now and in the future? Should I make a change? What if I change my mind later?” Discovering the truthful answers to these questions can frequently prove to be an arduous journey at best.

Often, the solution towards contentment and success seems resolutely right around the next corner of intriguing options - that is, until that little voice inside chimes in. We begin to ask how we can quiet this inner declaration that taunts us to consider whether or not our life is really going the way it should be going. And what about that unspoken dull, empty void inside that subtly shuns our best intentions as it leaves us questioning our purpose and place? Often times, we simply ignore this articulating expression; dismissing it as a shadowy little nuisance while tentatively assuming somehow our lifestyles will magically transform us into the people we were meant to be.

God's creation is a staggering work of art filled with amazing beauty and abundance - a world prepared for us to handle our every need. Yet, we fall into the lure of devoting our efforts towards pursuing our dreams, our companions, and our way in whatever way we choose, with anyone we prefer, by any method we deem instantly gratifying. As colorfully valid as this approach may seem, these strategies often miss the mark, coming up short of the well-intended plan, leaving us unable to explain where we went awry when we realize our efforts didn’t exactly pan out the way we had planned.

Deep inside, we privately continue to quietly ask ourselves, “What happened?” But, rarely do we dare to ask too loudly for fear someone may recognize our shortcomings. So, we hide. We fear. We doubt The modest voice within may be the smallest, but will always prove to be the largest piece of every puzzle in our lives. By God's grace, we can come to understand that the voice accompanying our every move is the actual Voice of Wisdom.

This voice is of God, whose acknowledgment shines upon us through His Son, Jesus Christ! Choosing to put God on the back burner, leaving divine inspiration or assistance to only the religious confirms our self-centered, tempestuously blind desire to control our own destinies ultimately leaving us with more questions. True success is a gift given to us only through the grace of our Heavenly Father, despite all hardships. As we grow in these earthly bodies, we must hold on to that little voice within that inspires and reminds us that there is a bigger picture, a bigger employer, if you will. When faith in God is a priority, then without surprise our successes are not only endless, but completely redefined.

God is the Beginning and the End. God is not antiquated or futuristic. God is within. God is separate according to His holiness. God is real. So, the next time you ask yourself those looming life questions, whether you have developed a relationship with God or not, tune in to be encouraged to put down your anxiety, doubts and concerns. Let God slip in as your lead decision-maker, if only for a moment to simply introduce what goodness is yet to come. Let God’s guidance quietly whisper His way into your questions and answers. Unburden yourself and simply give acknowledged, sporting a delicate haunting and sadness that longs to be freed, given the gift of rebirth and returned to the place it belongs. It is not just an entity, it is also a visual.

With free guidance and invitation through meditative music, the kindred stirring releases a flow of energies that I can “feel”. The energies I have carried since I was a small girl that I reflect upon as a spiritual companion. My intention is to let this energy or this voice with no words approach and be heard. No words come, but the energy speaks volumes and moves me to my very core. I watch with my mind and my inner feelings and God the same space to enter your thoughts, as you have given all those opportunities of doubt and anxiety. With this tiny step, even if we still don’t have all the answers to the endless highway of questions, we do have the Word and Voice of God to guide us as the best friend in success we’ve always dreamed of.
