Start with Why

I have a drive for continuous improvement in everything I do. My ‘why’ is to help my organization, team, and myself be better today than yesterday and be better six months from now than today. I accomplish this by continued education and development of myself and the teams I lead. While my experience has been focused in Purchasing and Supply Chain, I see myself beyond that limited scope and strive to be a well-rounded member of an organization.

Skills & Abilities

MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP

A direct report recently told me in a weekly one-on-one that she feels that she has grown more in the 6 months that I have been her manager than her previous 10 years with the company.

A former direct report recently thanked me for the knowledge that I taught him, and that it helped him obtain a much better job for his career.

I have led a fluctuating group between 2 and 8 employees. I make it a key focus to develop direct reports and help them grow as individuals and employees. We read relevant literature and discuss topics on a weekly basis.

COMMUNICATIONS

My current manager, the Global Director of Supply Chain, recently told me that he could see me being a college instructor due to my ability to coach, train, and effectively communicate.

I scored top 16% on the verbal component and top 20% in the analytical writing component of the Graduate Records Examination (GRE).

ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM SOLVING

One thing for which I have been commended from supervisors to peers to direct reports is my ability to properly analyze situations and make important decisions promptly. I have a good mix of logical analysis and creative intuition to help me efficiently assess a situation and act.
