Dear Human Resource Teacher:
As a Title I teacher, I believe strongly in giving employees ownership of their work. This empowerment model has been key to my success as a principal, assistant superintendent, and an executive director. The
enclosed resume outlines my years of experience, highlights of which are included in the following:
Strategic Planning: Authored strategies for educational management, turnaround, and
designed recruitment for employees and assessment tasks. Facilitated Gates small
school initiative. Designed special education intervention team training, textbook adoption
procedures, curriculum audits and curriculum design aligned to standards, and data and benchmark
analysis trends on achievement and graduation tests. Analyzed individual behavior within a
group and the ways of changing role behavior to maximize group productivity. Formulated
district policy for external and internal programs. Designed an effective budget management system.
Growth Performance: Designed instructional staff assessment including conferencing,
observation, data collection, and documentation of performance. Increased the number of
attendees at trainings on standards, assessment, and curriculum design. Increased student
scores on state and national mandated tests. Conducted formal and informal techniques used
to gain both external and internal perceptions of a district by means of surveys, advisory
groups, and personal contact. Interpret the relationships between and among local municipal
or county government, school boards, and private sector economic interests and predict the
effects of tax abatements and enterprise zones on local district revenues.
Human Resources: Managed diverse, workforce of 1,000+, curriculum development,
standards, and assessment on K-12 grade level. Noted for exceptional team building,
motivational, and leadership skills. Oversaw school coaches to build capacity at the building
level. Designed self-analysis and evaluation of teacher progress. Practiced ADA
requirements in hiring of personnel including providing reasonable accommodations.
Production: Oversaw the production of text and assessment manual. Oversaw textbook adoption,
department yearly calendar, meetings, trainings, and professional opportunities. Designed new
assessment models and benchmark tests. Performed grant writing. Predict revenues, construct budgets,
monitor spending and plan and conduct school levy campaigns.
I would like to put these strengths to work in another strategic directional role. I offer solid management
experience, a strong leadership focus, and effective educational skills, in combination with an “only the best
will do” work ethic. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to discuss your vision and goals for a Title I teacher, and the ways I might assist I CAN Schools achieve your mission and vision.
My educational background, my career, and my dedication to keeping the brainpower in Ohio have been a personal
goal for me. I look forward to working with a great school district and thank you for considering my qualifications.
Sincerely,
Camiele Papagianis
