Title: Prepaid Electricity Meter

Description: The proposed system uses the services of telecom operators for meter reading and mobile banking or net banking for billing. You prepay for as many units of electricity as you need, either over the phone network as GSM or at any Post Shop or Books & More outlet. You’ll then get a SMS which reveals the code to enter into your meter to top up. It contains a microcontroller in addition to a digital power meter which will be connected to electricity board server through a GSM module. This will provide efficient control of the amount of electricity consumed by the User.

Topic: Design and Functional Implementation of a RISC Processor based on FPGA

Description: Computers are essential electronic devices for regular life. Their smartness comes as a direct result of the decisions and controls that microprocessor make. New applications and presence of FPGA or ease of ASIC leads computer engineers to use embedded systems to develop high performance technology that can achieve high speed processing, small size and low power consumption by the use of custom made micro-controller. Embedded systems are necessary to understand the basic operation of computer system, mainly control unit, memory unit and data unit. This work shows the design and implementation of 16-bit RISC processor based on Harvard architecture. Which can be used as a soft core for FPGA embedded designs mainly for control and automation applications
