I feel my extensive background in machine design, manufacturing engineering and industrial maintenance supervision, machinery build, rebuild and repair engineering, qualify me as a good fit for the position.

In addition to my listed experience, I have 30 years of CAD experience with current software version experience in Solidworks 2015 and AutoCAD 2015, as well as experience as an Adult Education Instructor at Miami Valley Career Tech Center, in Ohio, as an instructor or hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical power transmission and held an Ohio Teaching Certificate.

In my diverse background in industrial maintenance, machine design/build and engineering, I have worked in heavy industrial environments, automotive Tier Suppliers, food production and bakery equipment, as well as sophisticated automated production centers and automated robotic work cells, including robotic welding and assembly process, and have extensive facility support systems experience as well, including material handling and electrical controls/sensors/logic.

The scope of my supervision experience encompasses over 25 years, with several management training schools and workshops pertaining to personnel development, safety, and employment law and labor management. I have supervised up to 60 employees in a technical/skilled trade’s workplace in industrial maintenance supervision, as well as engineering management of machine design/robotics engineers and machine builders.

Packaging Maintenance Supervisor – Project Manager/Machine Design

Production Machinery Maintenance responsibility for all Bldg II Smyrna, five departments, as well as one Palletizing department in Bldg I.

Design/project management of new build, refurbish, re-manufacture, recondition of all brands industrial process equipment lines, machinery and components.

Designed and implemented the first robotic cell for Vi-Jon, de-casing glass bottles, 24 at a time and delivering to automated washing and filling equipment. Responsible for all cell design, component selection/sizing, project management, robotic programming and development, and all tooling and cell mechanical/controls design, conveyors, safety devices and reliability. Eliminating two employee positions and eliminated almost continuous downtime of old mechanical system, saving many thousands of dollars per year. The Robot Cell was reliably meeting and exceeding expectations within the first week of startup, for a total cost of two thirds the cost of a replacement, unreliable mechanical systems that existed.

Completely re-designed and implemented the entire 40 Foot Tunnel Pasteurizer Equipment and System for the Magnesium Citrate line. Re-designed the entire Steam System, Water System, Flatbed Conveyor, Entering and Exit Conveyors and incorporated complete new control systems of sensor controlled valves, fill and makeup water systems, variable pumps, auto cleaning debris filters, spray systems, conveyor speeds and Zone Heat control as well as Steam Control by PLC and interfacing HMI Monitoring and Control of the system. Eliminating a DAILY downtime problem with antiquated pumps, relay logic, inadequate and troublesome filters, nozzles and damaged product by by staying in heat zone for too long while down. $100K projected savings per year.
