This position involves inspection and permitting of local industries and commercial establishments. The sampling of effluents from these industries to determine compliance with Parish, State and Federal regulations, Evaluates proposed treatment facilities to determine adequacy; discusses plant operations with plant’s management and determine best sampling point(s); prepares sample bottles and collects field samples using appropriate procedures and equipment. Evaluates results of laboratory analyses to determine compliance or possible corrective action for non-compliant industries; routinely samples wastewater in sanitary sewerage and storm drainage systems; conducts maintenance of equipment and instruments. Enter data into a personal computer; record and file analytical results and reports including Stormwater debris collection
