Maintenance Supervisor in charge of the Automated Manufacturing Handling Systems, Metrology and Yield Enhancement modules. Supervised over 14 technicians. Responsibilities include approving time, scheduling preventive maintenance, performance reviews, disciplinary/coaching employees, addressing priorities, safety issues, escalations, emergencies, ordering parts, 5S, overseeing work ethics, audits, repairs and running meetings. Root cause/countermeasure investigations as it relates to safety incidents or production excursions. Responsible for writing a QC stories and fanning out single point lessons to be distributed worldwide to all plants utilizing the 5Y’s principles, including prevention action plans to keep it from reoccurring. Responsible for increasing productivity, improving quality, increasing equipment reliability, equipment improvement modifications, improving equipment specs and procedures, cross training teams, minimizing rework and waste, improving attendance, turnover rate, team work, and cost reduction by maximizing output at minimum cost to company. I retired from Texas Instruments after 30 years on July 17th to move closer to family and to start up a business.

DMOS6 D-Shift Super Managerial Coordinator
Hand-picked by senior management to be Maintenance Managerial Coordinator over all EE modules, technicians, vendors and contractors at night. Took the placed of 6 nightshift working supervisors eliminated by management due to manpower/cost cut issues. Responsibilities included supervising over 70 technicians including vendors and contractors. Provided equipment management training to new production supervisors. Coordinated all EE activities, priorities, safety matters, 5S, emergencies, overseeing work ethics, productivity, escalations, parts, mentoring, employee performance inputs, audits, and helping with maintenance and repairs, identify and confronted performance issues, provided coaching to improve performance, D-Shift was the top performing shift in production moves during my 4 years as Super Managerial Coordinator with an 10% increase over the other shifts. This was due to addressing bottlenecks on the production floor and determining priorities. Decreasing production scraps, increasing equipment uptime and Mfg moves by running commonality reports and locating equipment related to defects jeopardizing production.

DMOS4 EE Photo/Metrology Technician Shift Leader
Shift leader of 5 technicians at night. Responsibilities included supervising Techs, PM’S, Calibrating equipment for Quality control and repairing and maintaining semi-conductor equipment. Interfacing with vendors, PE and QC. Trained technicians and assisted engineers with writing specs. I exceeded expectations in this position and was the only one capable of calibrating high tech equipment with optics and lasers. I was also the only technician at Texas Instruments US worldwide who could work on Air conditioning/handling units for Nikon and Cannon steppers. These were multimillion dollar machines with sensitive optics that would distort if not attended to quickly causing extensive downtime.
