APPRENTICE, DIESEL EARTHMOVING MECHANIC.
Its major modules included Fitting, Diesel, Electrical, Hydraulics and Pneumatics in theory, practical and on job training with emphasis on practical training. I gained skill in engine maintenance, trouble shooting of
coolingsystem, lube system,fuel system,engine tuning, engine stripping and reconditioning,diagonising faults using on board tools and hand held diagnostic devices like DDR to mention but a few.
through hands on training especially on Duetz(All air cooled series), CAT(C11) and Detroit(40 and 60 series) engines.
I did trouble shooting and maintenance on Toro LHDs 400D, 400E (electrical), 301, 006, 7, 6 (Low profile Underground Loaders) EJC Dump Truck and Axera (D05, D06 Face Drill) during my training.
With Minimum Supervision I dismantled and Reconditioned Torque Converters, Transmissions, Brake Assemblies (Posi Stop), Final drives and Axles at Sandvik component exchange workshop Jet Park, South Africa and Zambia workshops.
I also worked on Toro Loaders Rebuilds in South Africa which helped to sharpen my fitting skills.
Overhauling of transmission, cylinders, axles, brake assemblies, torque converters e.t.c.
Mantaince and trouble shooting on hydraulics systems such trammimg(hydraustaic),brake systems,dump and hoist,rotary cylinders,drilling system and boom movements.

Mantainance and beakdowns on Bucyrus 39HR overburden rotary drill rigs at Mafube colliery in Middleburg,Mpumalanga Southafrica.
Mu dutys were:
Ensuring the drill is clean,maintain central lub and thread grease system.
Adjust and caliberate drilling parameters like power head travel and pressures as well as trouble shooting the PLC system.
Component over hual,wear analysis,taking oil samples for lab analysis
Mantanance and trouble shooting using the on board diagonistic screen as well as the after market engine protection system of the cat 3508.
Mantainance of the P.T.O, compressor,water dust suppression system.
Mantanace,trouble,adjuting shooting of hydraulics like pilot,tramming,drill feed,rotation hydraustatic respective systems.
Mantainance of the crawler (tracks),replacing rollers as well as adjusting track tension.
Perform scheduled service,raise works orders,checklists,damage report.

Maintenance and fault finding on engines,PTO,compressors,rotary box,hammers,cyclone and water dust suppression system,crawlers(tracks),shank lubrication system,airconditioning,hydraulics systems, electric over hydraulics etc.
