Facilitated the definition of product families, market segments, and product grouping to support the S+OP structure.

Within the S.B.U. structure, I participated in the definition of the 5 review templates.

Personally defined and executed the data flow from the information system to the templates and migrated the process from the legacy system (Visual) to SAP as part of the SAP implementation.

Led the execution of the future state map resulting in a WP inventory reduction from $5.4M to $3.4M

Established and managed a semi-finished goods supermarket reducing cycle time from 55 to 20 days.

Established kanban pull systems for customer focused cells utilizing electronic kanban signals to distribution suppliers, resulting in on-time delivery from 80% to 95+%.

Established tact time balancing,component pull systems, and integrated customer service into a focused factory

Dismantled central planning organization in New York and built, from the ground up, a new planning organization in corporate headquarters in Texas.

As project manager, and with a $2.4 million dollar budget, and in 7 months, migrated North America operations under a SAP 4.6C global template, resulting in a seamless closed loop global information system. Received President’s accommodation for this effort.

Brought North America 3 plant operations under a standard planning structure, ensuring consistency in strategy, structure, metrics, and processes, during a 20% sales growth per year.

Achieved SOX compliance for a user group of 36.

XETEL CORP., Austin, TX. Jun 2000 – Nov 2003

Master Scheduler

Through the direction of senior management, created a master scheduling function for a $200 million/year multiplant SMT contract manufacturer in an ISO9001 2000 environment. Accomplishments included:

Successfully implemented formal capacity requirements planning processes and module for both facilities.

Introduced the concepts of Theory of Constraints, including Drum-Buffer-Rope and Throughput Accounting.

Assisted the conversion of satellite facility from MRP system to corporate ERP system.

Standardized all planning processes for both facilities under a corporate structure and ensured ISO9001 2000 compliance.

Directed the efforts of a Master Scheduling organization for a $400 million/year catalog mail order food manufacturer with a product line in excess of 1,000 end items and 12 million units annually in a build-to-forecast, configure-to-orders, and engineer-to-orders environment. Accomplishments included:

Personally developed organization from the ground floor requiring definitions of processes and measurements, hiring and development of exempt level staff and integration of master scheduling module into the delivery system.

Provided classroom education on master scheduling, planning, and MRP for user base of 80, requiring writing of course curriculum, instruction, and implementation of MPS module and formal use of MRP module.

Established formal management of excess, obsolescence, and nonconforming inventory, including accountabilities, measurements, disposition, and funding, resulting in a reduction in inventory from $5 million to less that $1 million.

Led Kaizen events and process re-engineering initiatives utilizing value stream mapping, 5S, standard work, kanban, takt time balancing and waste elimination to convert work centers into lean Manufacturing, resulting in up to 60% reduction in inventory and on-time delivery to 95%.

Implemented Drum-Buffer-Rope for satellite facility.
